Morning all.
BigBen sorry to hear about your car trouble. Hope it's not too much $$$
Mac-I can believe Oprah treats people that way. Although I enjoy some of her shows, it can be irritating when she always mentions stuff like "well it's only $250 for that Whatever, and if you can't afford that then... " I'm always like, well what kind of an idiot would pay $250 for that whatever anyway.
I went to one of her shows about 6-7 years ago. It was for new moms and had Maria Shriver on with her introducing the newest gadgets for babies. At the beginning of the taping the producers said if any of us had any questions on things we saw, to stand or raise hands and Oprah would recognize us during commercial breaks to answer our questions. It was when 3-D ultrasounds were just coming out. So I wanted to know if it was only used to diagnose problems if a regular ultrasound or level 2 ultrasound couldn't detect something or if insurance was going to cover them. They never even recognized anyone. And during commercial breaks, Oprah never talked to anyone but Maria. I found her to be rather rude as well.
DH and I went to a taping of Tonight Show, and Jay Leno was more friendly than Oprah. Much more down to Earth.
Celebrities are a group unto themselves. Real people could never understand them.
Well, I better get busy. I want to start the cleansing of DS room this week now that DD room is done.
Have a good day everyone.
