Hello Everyone!!
Thanks for all the welcome backs!!
We did have a wonderful time at WDW! It was such a different experience not having the kids with. We talked to them so much on the phone that it was hard to miss them.
Here's my little trip report for you all:
Friday
We arrived at Ft. Wilderness at approx 11am. No line at all in the reception and we were greeted by really happy, friendly people. This remained the same through out the trip while at Ft Wilderness.
A cabin was available right away for us!! And in minutes we were in a WDW van being shuttled to our cabin. It literally took minutes to check in and get to our cabin.....WOW!!

Tony stayed at the cabin while I was shuttled off to the Bike Barn to get our reserved golf cart. No line here either and I was off right away on our zippy golf cart.
We stopped off at the Trails End restaurant for lunch. Really yummy food and a great waiter. His name was Ken, and he's kind of famous. I had read about him in a post on the Camping Board. A really friendly and upbeat guy!
After stuffing ourselves we went to Epcot. We were able to scratch off a few rides/attractions that where on our list of things we hadn't done yet.
Then we headed to the Contemporary for dinner at the Concourse Steakhouse. This is where we where surprised by a very nice visit from Sandy and Kevin! It was great seeing them there!
We had the best steaks there! And I had ordered a small cake to celebrate our anniversary. It was delish!! And the waitress had brought us each a glass of champagne with a strawberry on the edge. Very thoughtful of her!
We were going to head back to Epcot after that but my feet were already killing me from being on them all day and we were bushed from the long day since we had been up since 3am!!!
So we took a boat over to Ft Wilderness and chilled for a while in our cabin before heading off to dream land.
Saturday
We decided to sleep in a little bit that morning. Boy that was a treat!!
We headed over to MGM. I decided to use an
ECV this day, and I was really grateful I did!

First off, Tony did TOT while I shopped in a near by store!

Afterwards we went to see Beauty and the Beast which we hadn't seen in a few years. We had the best seats and I took a ton of pics.
We got in all our favorite attractions including Lights, Motor, Action which we had never seen before.

The crowds were light which made touring a breeze! We left the park in the afternoon and took the boat to Epcot. We squeezed in a few rides/attractions we missed the prior day, including Sorin'. What an awesome ride!!! We then hopped a bus to POR for our dinner ressie at Boatwrights! We had a yuumy dinner with a really nice waitress we've had before, Jenny. Then we took the boat to Downtown Disney. We did some major shopping in the Marketplace and then headed to PI. We had never been there before so we were really excited to see what fun things we might find! First stop was the Adventures Club!! That place was a hoot!!! I could have stayed there all night!
Then we went to the Comedy Warehouse and saw a really funny show there! It was a really late night and us old timers were feeling it!!!
So we headed back to the Campground. Hopped on our golf cart and headed to our cozy cabin in the woods. What a godsend the golf cart was!!! Golf carts are my friend!!!
Sunday
Well, we should have gotten up early for breakfast at CP that morning, but the prior night's activities whiped us out!!

So I called and changed our ressie to lunch instead! We found a couple envelopes hanging from our door that morning. One was about our ME pick up and the other was an anniversary card/certificate from the reservation center staff! What a nice touch! After finally getting moving we headed to MK to find the crowds quite manageable. We did all our favorite rides and like Sandy said we ran into them at the Stitch attraction. Minus a poor, sick Kevin though.

We had a great lunch at CP and had the best experience with the characters there. When Pooh came by he tried squeezing himself between our table and a near by, very close pillar. And he GOT STUCK!!!!

We laughed sooooo hard!! I know the person inside had to be keeping themselves from laughing too!!

Our waiter was the best and gave us a certificate from all the characters honoring our anniversary and gave us two decorated cupcakes with candles in them. He rang a glass and called attention to us and made a little speech. It was a really happy moment!!

Another cool thing that happened was later in the day after picking up packages I sent to the front of the park, I found a little note card tucked into one bag. It was from Mickey thanking us for coming to the park that day and a Donald Duck Cutie pin was attached to it!! Too cool!!

In the afternoon we headed over to the Wilderness Lodge to take a look around and then back to the Campground for a little rest and to check out the resort some more. Then it was back to MK as it was an EMH late night.
Monday
Before heading out that morning we stowed our luggage at the front desk, returned our golf cart and had a super, yummy (and late) breakfast at Trails End. Then we headed out to MK. We thought the crowds really dropped that day. Rode all our favorite rides again and ran into Sandy and the gang at Buzz! We had a Fastpass and ended up ahead of them! HA HAAAA!!

Love those Fastpasses!!!
We did a little more shopping on Main Street before heading back to the Campground to get our ME bus to the airport. The flight back was very smooth and we arrived slightly early. Unfortunately though, when we got to Tony's van in the parking lot at the airport the battery was DEAD!!

We have no clue how that happened. We did get a jump from the attendant on duty and we were finally on our way. We got home around 12:30am.
We were so glad to be home. But I got no sleep last night. My sister's son had gotten a fever and he was fussing in his sleep all night long. I ended up taking a 3 hour nap earlier today. Good thing Tony didn't go back to work today!
We really enjoyed the cabin at Ft Wilderness and plan to go back with the kids. It was like being in a totally different place then we had ever experienced in any other resort. It was so quiet and peaceful. And there was no rudeness by ANYONE we encountered there! No food court crazy people either!

And there was so much to do there including special activities they plan for each day. And the cabin itself was really nice. Big space for a family to move around in and not bump into each other. I would stay there again in a heart beat!!
And we really enjoyed touring the parks by ourselves too.
One funny thing that kept happening to me was that I kept having little kids talk to me all the time. They must have known I was a mom! Tony was laughing over it because no matter where we went some little kid would strike up a conversation with me.
That's it from me for now. I'm really tired and need some sleep!
Peace out dudes!
