Bunchkin - I usually am a room mom, I get an email saying no one volunteered to "cooridinate" we never have one leader - we have always just gotten together and done it!! Well I kept waiting for the note from the volunteer... nada.. but a list of what she wants... TP is on the list, so I imagine we're doing the mummy wrap too (I've done that before!! It takes more time than you think... and makes a great mess - kids love it!!)

I'm dressing up and going in. Whether they "allow" me to help or not :confused3

Morning..

off to work.. the boys have to give out candy until I get home at 6 pm.. wonder if they will do that or :scratchin

Good Morning. Happy Halloween to all of you. Busy here, too. Funny I thought it would slow down here after vacation. :rotfl2:
Helping with both kids parties today. Running from room to room. Found leaf treat bags, but no junk toys to put in them. Just loaded with candy. Did get glow sticks for each class. Playing Bingo, Hangman and 7-UP and making treat bags for a craft with the 3rd graders. Playing Hot Potato, Bingo, and making a frame craft with the 1st graders. Cupcakes and juice all around. That reminds me, better go make the cupcakes. Have a great day.

I'm back. Thanks for the birthday wishes! :goodvibes Yeah, it was Sunday. It was ok, a travel day. Yesterday my boss got me a cookie cake from the Toll House store here, and my mom got me a cake. That's a lot of buttercream! :thumbsup2

So get this...on Sunday, my 33rd birthday, I get to the gate at the airport (this is Bradley in Ct., where we had to wait for the previous plane to leave because they only had one stairway  ) and give the woman my boarding pass. I start to head through the door, and she says, Wait, how old are you? Like I'm an unaccompanied minor!!! :sad2: What's wrong with me?!?

I haven't gotten caught up on this thead yet. Maybe today. :sunny:

My little skater Evan (who is 6'1", BTW :rotfl: ) got second at Skate America. He seemed pretty mad about it, too, so maybe he'll go home and work on his short program. :rolleyes1

Happy Halloween!!
I'm sure most of us are busy with Halloween parties at school, etc.
I need to get to the school at lunchtime to help Matthew and Chrissy with their costumes. Our school, they don't want hte kids in costumes all day, just in hte afternoon. We usually have a costume parade where all hte kids parade around the block outside. I'm guessing hte parade may be inside this yr. Not sure where we are going trick or treating yet tonight. maybe Woodfield, but not sure.
I love watching Live with Regis and Kelly on Halloween. They dress up, Gelman and Art Moore dress up(the producer guys). I have watched them for a few yrs.

Have a safe Halloween, everyone!

Happy Birthday, Leigh!! :bday: :cake: party:
Glad you had a good weekend at Skate America and a great birthday! :thumbsup2

himick.jpg

They showed potc-bp on the big screen at the goofy pool and potc-dmc in the movie theatre.
Just a quick one before i forget about it.

Here is Thursday and Friday
Thursday was at sea, so it was an easy laid back day. Lots of the pool and the kids in thier clubs.

hionmmslide.jpg

It was by far our most relaxed day. Cocktails, bingo, pirate trivia(which I won), and dinner back at lumiarie's for lobster(yum!). Then the night happens with kids, clubs, & cocktails.

Friday the last full on the ship (boohoo)
Castaway Cay - My DW & DS-in-L took the kids to the breakfast with Mickey while Chad and myself went to the beach and got our spot. While we had the time Chad and I went snorkeling so when we hit the water the first thing I saw was a stingray about 6' away from me it was cool. Then we made our way out to find the grouper and we did. The fish followed us for a little while, and by the time we got back everyone was there.

cc1.jpg

played with the kids and had lunch.

meandntwine.jpg

This is the some of the band that was onboard NTWINE they were pretty good.
Now Cameron, Chad, and myself had a fishing excursion to go on at 1:00. We head over to Marge's Barges and get on the boat and head out. I don't know about anyone else but I have never seen water as beautiful as the water in the Bahamamas. I couldn't get over how clear the water was, we were in 50' of water fishing with a piece if bait the size of a half dollar and you could see it on the bottom, amazing! Well anyway, we were out there for about an hour and we had caught a few fish (strawberry grouper, trigger, and macrille(sp?)) which was cool, but then we moved to another spot and then something happened. The guide wanted to catch some bait. he had a grouper on and the BANG! a barracuda cut this fish in half! it looked liked someone hit it with a meat cleaver the cut was that clean. Thats when he decided to catch the 'cuda' and brought out a pole with heavier tackle and put the fish head on as bait and threw it out there. He had a strike and it was the 'cuda' and he asked who wanted to fight this fish.
"I got it" I chimed in and then took the pole. I started to reel it in and then...

thebattle.jpg

The line stopped coming in and then started to go out in a hurry. I was like what the hell do I have here? It took me about 10 mins to get the fish about 30 feet from the boat and then I hear the guide. "ah crap." he says and at this point I still don't know till I get him 20' from me and then I can see him...

thecatch.jpg

Thats when I turned into a little kid in a candy store. I started laughing and smiling from ear to ear. The guides were laughing at me. My BinL was laughing the other guy fishing was laughing. I battled him for 20 mins with 2 huge runs in him and I was dead I handed the rod off to the other guy for 5 mins and 1 run and then he stopped laughing and handed the rod to Chad. he fought it for 15 mins and 1 big run. I took the rod one last time and about 10 mins later I had hime to the boat.

theprize.jpg

how cool is that? I had to touch him. I don't know who was more tired the shark or myself. Well we fished for an hour more and as Chad reeled in a fish another shark took the fish he had on his line, very funny. All pumped up and had to board the ship. I went to bingo and then the kids had thier graduation from the club.

grad1.jpg

It was very cute.

Dinner was at AP for the third time, no kids they wanted to stay in the club this time so we let them. After dinner they were having "Pub Night" for adults in Deversions which was very funny. The entertainment staff had all kinds of costumes on. They had on rain coats, tutus, and other things. When it was over everyone went to "Rock'n bar D" where Ntwine was playing. One of the young lady singers pulled Heather and myself to the dance floor. The costumes were all over the place. I look over and one of the staff was straighting out one of them. Just before he was done I knew where he was going to go with it. Yes, you guessed right, he headed straight for me. After he got me dressed the band pulled me on stage and this is the end result...

lastnight1.jpg

Cute huh?
Well I stayed up there for a whole song because I knew it and could sing it.

lastnight2.jpg

Lets just say I had a blast. I couldn't have ended the cruise with any better of a day and night. Just as we getting ready for bed something get put under the door. The paper was an award for the "Best dancer at Rockn' bar D" and it was signed by the staff and at the bottom one of the staff wrote "You rocked tonight". All in all it was fantastic and we are going back next year.
Well Saturday came and we ate breakfast and 18.5 hrs, 3.5 tanks of gas, and a stop at McD's and Sonic and we were home.
I know this was long winded but I just could stop.

OMG, was that YOU in a tutu? :cool1:  :cheer2:

I'm glad to hear you had a great trip. Love the pics :goodvibes

Tonight is my first training class at the Broker I'm working for. Someone at the office yesterday told me these classes are alot of fun - which makes me glad - I like fun!!!! :teeth:

Trick-or-treating was so cold last night :cold: . When Stephanie said she was cold and wanted to go back to Grandmas - I didn't argue with her :sad2: They got tons of candy as normal - so my coworkers at the frame store should be happy :goodvibes

macraven - Hi there!!! :wave2:

Donna - How's Christopher (am I right?) doing? What is he going to school for, I can't remember.

Bunchkin - I was in charge of the Mummy Wrap game too :teeth: I bought way to much toilet paper and now we have extra for home. Stephanie's group won because she learned last year to have the mummy spin while she held the toilet paper :thumbsup2 The Happy Meals are a good idea. We got our students a donut on a stick, an ice cream cup, and a juice box.

Debbie - Did you kids have a nice Halloween??

eeyore - What did you dress up as? Were you allowed to help at the party?

geffric - Were the boys good candy hander outers or were they good candy eaters? When I was there age, my mom thought she was so sneaky and would hide the candy before Halloween, but my brother and I would always find it and eat to much. Then on Halloween day she would look at the candy and realize she had to go buy more - what a pain in the **** we were :lmao:

Tiggerrnn - How did your parties go?

Leigh - I can't believe that happened to you at the airport - some people are so goofy!!! I was at a bar once about 10 years ago, I was 25 and I ordered a Sprite with a lime. The server asked me for my ID. I asked why, because I ordered a Sprite w/ a lime. She said because I couldn't even be in the building if I was underage. I didn't think I looked so young that I wasn't allowed in the building - whatever!!!!

Rosemarie - Our students are only allowed in costume for the afternoon too ::yes:: When I got there yesterday, everyone was in costume except Steph because I had hers. They wore them to art class :scared1: I was so glad I had hers so she didn't glue and stuff all over it - that would not have made me happy :sad2:

HERSEY - Did Alex have a good Halloween??

bigben - Great pictures and TR!!!!
Those pictures of the shark are amazing!!!! :)
Those pictures of you in the tutu are also amazing!!! Was your wife just laughing and laughing? If Kevin was up there like that I think I die from laughing so hard. How fun!!!!!! So what was the song?????

Jedi - Hi there :wave2:

Well guys, I gotta go get Stephanie up for school :teacher:
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Happy 1st day of November everyone!!! :sunny:

The kids were both up really early this morning! They were so tired last night that I thought I would struggle to get them up today. :confused3
Now I'm going to have to get Hunter to take a nap before preschool today, or he'll be sooooo crabby!! :sad2:

Yesterday's Halloween party was a lot of fun! We had some great games. And the mummy wrap was a hit!! I was left with extra TP, and some other mom dropped off a HUGE package of TP at the school office and a lot was left over but she didn't put her name on it so I have no clue who it belongs to!! :rotfl: So I left it in the classroom!! :rotfl: I hope the teacher doesn't mind!!!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween!!!
We seemed to get a lot of people driving into our subdivision to trick or treat!
Oh Well!!

IS ANYONE PLANNING ON GOING TO THE MAG MILE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS NEXT WEEKEND???

We are going, and I was kjust wondering if anyone else is!!! :thumbsup2

rosemarie: i saw that green light on last night.

debbie: when is your next disney trip planned for?

kim: she is still skinny............and i am not.....

eyeeore: since you live closer to me than the others, we should meet.
lets plan around food............i hope you love food as much as i do...

and to everyone else........Hey, how's it going.....i hope wonderful !!

Hey Slo - The song was "kiss" by Prince or Tom Jones and it was a blast. As the song went on there is the one point where it says "I think I better dance now." At that point if you remeber the movie Purple Rain when the Time were playing, when they danced and just moved thier legs side to side. Thats what I did, and had everyone rolling on the floor. It was to much fun.

:dancer:

Thanks for the blessing

Bunchkin - You are so lucky that Lauren got up easy today. Steph was like a grizzly bear when she got :scared1: After this morning if our town said that they were moving trick-or-treating to the last Friday in October - I would be all for it :thumbsup2 Then the grizzly bear can sleep in the next morning

macraven - thanks for the encouraging words!!!! :goodvibes I con't know if I will eat donuts though - I think I will be sneaking candy all day :teeth:

bigben - Your welcome for the blessing!!!! :goodvibes
You know what, I've never seen Purple Rain  But I do have the soundtrack on record, tape, and CD :teeth: Now I want to watch it!!!

:guilty: I can’t believe it’s November! Yikes! Life just flies by these days!

We had a fun Halloween! It was so darn cold but you know kids don’t care about that. My DD thinks that Halloween is the greatest day ever! She woke up this morning and asked me when we were going to go trick or treating again!
I will try and post some of our Disney themed Halloween pix here later.

It sounds like you guys were all busy bees yesterday too. I'm glad everyone had fun. My DD's preschool doesn't do the big Halloween thing so I was kind of disappointed. Especially when I saw all the other kids going to school in thier costumes while I was driving. I did put her in a cute Halloween outfit though.

I am having discussions on some other threads regarding the “RED X’s”. Do you guys know what I am talking about? Some other people out there say they can’t see my pix. You guys always see my pix, right? Do you know what I am talking about?

I always go to Festival of Lights….
There were rumors that Disney wasn’t going to be a part of it this year.
Anyone know?

Big Ben you make me want to go on a cruise! You look like you are a very fun person! You must have a ton of friends! Love all your pix and TR.

Macraven...no trip planned yet but I turn the big 4-0 in June and was hoping for a little surprise excursion to the MK from my family (We will probably already be in Naples, FL at that time anyway) and my Mom and I think we should go for my DD's 5th birthday in November 2007. A girl can dream, right!

Have a great day everyone! Stay warm and cozy!

6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Mickey Mouse, as master of ceremonies, leads the illumination of more than one million lights in The Magnificent Mile district to officially start the holiday season in Chicago! North Michigan Avenue, from Oak Street to the Chicago River

Looks like my main man is going to be there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank Goodness!
