I think I've liked change that to love Johnny Depp since Benny and Joon. Did you see Return to Neverland?

My "cold" seems to be much better I think it's really just a sinus thing.

Slo to bad Miss Katie didn't fall a sleep. She sure looked tired.

I'm all confused today with the time change I keep thinking it's later than it is.

RosePrincess I hope your Grandma has a nice birthday. How old is she if you don't mind me asking?

She is turning 91! My mom and dad keep thinking every yr she is going to die. Grandma is doing fairly well with her health. My mom can't take anymore of it, according to her. Grandma is in a nursing home and being well taken care of, but is very demanding for wipes, Depends, etc. to my mom. It's a long story, but my mom is finally learning some patience from grandma(my mom's mom) being here for 4 yrs. My mom is not the most maternal person,as of her personality. Can't really explain here, but I'm very glad my mom is learning some patience with grandma :teeth: Sorry for my little vent :)
We are just having cake with her.

Ok, have a good day, everyone.

Good :sunny: Sunday morning all. It's a beautiful day here today.
Rosemarie, hope your grandma has a nice birthday. DHs granma is 96 and still living at home. His 2 aunts live there with her-neither ever married. She can't hear well and can't see well, but God bless her she is still climbing on ladders to clean cabinets and crawling under sinks to feel for leaks. LOL She is very determined to do whatever she can to help. She does dishes and cleans what she can. Amazing. My dad's mother was in a nursing home. I didn't really care for the place, but when she got diabetes, my dad and aunt weren't too sure how to help her so that's what they did. I hope I never grow old and become a burden to my children. I'd rather die in my sleep at home out of the blue. Or drop dead of a heart attack somewhere. Working in a hospital, I just know I don't ever want to be sick. OK too depressing sorry.
I am going to do some laundry and go out to rake leaves and pick up sticks. All that wind yesterday wiped out several branches from these old trees. Have a great day everyone!! Glad to hear you all had a good time yesterday.
Oh, and GO BEARS-YEAH!!!!

Me again.....
I just started this thread where people can post pix of thier souvineers that they want to show off. I know...I'm crazy!! But I am obsessed with WDW merchandise!
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1263070
Also my DDs 4th Birthday is on November 10th and I am looking for something fun to do on the 13th with a small group of three kids (not including us) plus their Mom's. Any ideas?????
Lastly (for now), Bears win! Bears win!!! Bears win!!!!

Day #3 Costa Maya

We ate early and got off the ship to do some shopping. There isn't alot in Costa maya, but we had fun in the shopping area. Around the outside of the shopping area is the typical shops Diamonds international, sliver shops, leather goods, and tequilia shops( check the prices around here I forgot to so i don't know how much you would save). In the middle was a swim up bar and saltwater pool which looked pretty cool. Then they have the shops in the middle that you can barder with the locals. That was a lot of fun, so if you see something you want think of a price and then go lower than that. if they say no walk away they will come after you and your money, so don't cave in to them stick to your price. Here are a few picks from Costa Maya.

meandheather.jpg

This is DW Heather and myself when we first got off the ship.

costa1.jpg

A light house as you walk towards CM look to your left( for those you who are going on the DD)

shipcosta.jpg

This is taken from the area by the volleyball pool.

Back on the ship and everyone else was just getting off, so we had the adult pool to ourselves which was nice. Dinner was back at AP then the kids in thier club and the adults to ours :drinking1 :drinking1 Do you see a pattern here? Next was Cozumel.
I'm going to include day #4 in Cozumel in this post.

I've got 1 word for you in Cozumel... EXCURSION!!!!!!!!!

What a pit of a place, but I heard nothing but good things about everyone's excursions, but the shopping was like taking your own life in you hands. From the time you get off the dock you are constantly being bomb-barded by "need a jeep or a scooter""Hey pretty lady""Big boy I got something for you" and my personal favorite" Want to touch my lizzard". No, I'm not kidding there was a man with a 4' iguana(sp?). The city was dirty and just not nice so after 45 mins of this back to the pool and a drink called the "Yellow Bird". Then dinner back at PC. Kids-clubs, adult-clubs :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 , so that was Weds.

Thanks Sandy. Real confusing time right now, that's all. :confused3 Thanks again. :goodvibes

Yesterday I made my first ever pot roast. I was always nervous about making one, I don't know why, but I was :confused3 I tried a receipe from the Kraft website and it was good, but it needs a lot of modification, and then it will be perfect :thumbsup2

Poor Stephanie has such a bad cold. I feel bad for her because this is her first cold in a really really really long time. I don't think she even had a cold last year. She's feeling miserable. I hoping that it will pass soon.

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the replies and welcomes.

Bunchin - I was thinking about doing the toddler gymnastics class w/dd. She could somersault since she was 1.5. She loves that kind of stuff.

Roseprincess - We usually go to Stratford Mall. We go to Woodfield once and a while to go to special stores or Rainforest Cafe or Ruby Tuesdays. I don't love driving places I'm not used to so my dh usually takes us to Woodfield. I am lucky my dd has her cousin to play with even if they are older and boys. My nephew got all the attention in the world from me and my other sister and mom but had no kids to play with.

Debbie - That would be great to meet and have the kids play. DD is just starting to talk better and she loves to play with older and younger kids. And about your dd's b-day. If you have the money and like waterparks, the Elmhurst Holiday Inn now has a Mayan Ruin indoor waterpark. They do birthday parties there. I can't remember how much it cost but they have a website. A lot of people I know love the Painted Penguin but I don't know what age it is best for. The kids I know are around 5 to 8.

'OhanaMama - I think we are related. I love the movie Lilo & Stitch and family is most important to me and my family loves everything Disney. That is where I got my name. Although I realized after being on the DIS that you are supposed to have that apostrophe thingy before the O. Oh well.

If I missed anybody's ques., I'm sorry. Trying to get all this in and pay attention the dd is hard for me. She is a little attention spoiled right now. Hope you all have a good day.

Lisa

I forgot to add that my mother in-law is now out of the hospital. She did end up having a procedure while she was there and is waiting the results of a biopsy. She seems in good spirits. But we are worrying for her as she has had so much happen to her in the past 4-5 months. :guilty:
They were planning on coming out here next month, but I'm not sure if that is still their intention. I'm guessing it still is.
The bad thing is that my father in-law, who is 85, is refusing to fly and wants to drive all the way from Vegas!!! :sad2: We are trying to talk him into flying, that is way too much driving for my mother in-law to handle by herself. She's 70.

Check your local library too. They should have a story time program for your DD's age group too!! :thumbsup2

Hey everyone!! Wow, what a great day outside and I'm off work. Yeeehaw!!

However, this weather would have been much appreciated on Saturday for our pumpkin patch meet! It was blustery and cold and we could have used some of this warm!

Slo: It was great to meet you too and yes, Megan is better after going one round with Hot Chocolate and the winner...Mr. Hot Chocolate! She didn't really complain about it much after we got home, but she took a pretty good nap too. She was wiped out!! She loved meeting Stephanie and of course, hanging out with Lauren is always "WAY COOL" because Lauren is a big third grader!! Bunchkin, sorry to hear about your MIL. I hope they take your advice and fly.

Hersey: It was great to see you and Alex again! Thanks for the gloves loan, I was fooled by the bright sunshine and didn't realize how windy/blustery it was out there!

We carved our pumpkin last night and my step son put a cute cat's face on it. Megan adores it!! We had lit out on the front porch. I was seriously hoping no one would pumpkin smash it. Megan would be heart broken!!

Well, back to work. For all you heading to see Wicked, have a great time!!!

SamIAm!!

Hi all-
Everything went well with my grandma's birthday yest. My cousin, who I haven't seen in about 12 yrs, she came by with her parents. Her parents recently moved into an assisted living facility close by. It was nice to see my cousin again! And grandma had a good birthday overall.
Thanks, Slo, for the birthday wishes for my grandma :goodvibes

Slo,Hersey, and Bunchkin- :grouphug: hope you and the kids get better with your colds. :wizard:

Tiggerrn- that's wonderful your 96 yr old grandma is still pretty active! Bless her!

Mac- thanks for the Disney TV listings :thumbsup2

Bigben- Enjoyed the TR and pics of your Castaway Cay cruise :sail:

Disneyohana- Stratford Square mall is a nice place. Disney Store is on the first floor. I do go to Stratford once in a while :)
