Donna Are you looking for crockpot easy? what do you have in mind? I have a bazzion recipes.

Here's my current fav crockpot
To Die For Crock Pot Roast
Submitted by Carol

serves 4
1 beef roast, any kind, sized to fit crockpot
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix
1 pkg brown gravy mix
1 pkg Italian dressing mix
1/2 c water
Place roast in crockpot. Mix all three envelopes and sprinkle on top of roast. Pour 1/2 c warm water in the bottom of the crockpot. Cover and cook on low 6 to 7 hours

I forgot were I found this one but it's super easy I put in 1 cup of water. And since I like gravy I make some on the side too.

Hey everyone!!!

I'm *so* excited

I just got a notice that my 6 year old's art project was picked to be displayed in City Hall for the "Art for All at City Hall". Talk about shocked...he has motor skill delays, uses specialized pencils and I never in a million years would have expected anything he did in art class to get picked to be on display anywhere (other than at school where everyone's is on display). :artist: :artist:

It's a scarecrow he did!! He told me as I haven't seen it...we don't get to see any of their art projects until later in the year. Of course, the preview is Monday night along with special recognition from the Mayor....AND my DD's orchestra concert is Monday night at the same time. :artist: :charac2: AND my DH has a meeting right before the timeframe but he's going to try to sneak out early. I think it's a conspiracy to have everything happen all at once though. :dance3: <-- me trying to coordinate everything.

I am going to have to look up to see how long this stuff will be on display and take a trek over to City Hall to see it myself since I can't make the preview. DH is going to take the boys to that (and he best take pictures!!). I was able to squeeze my mom watching the littlest one even though she already had my brother & nephew coming over.

Hello!!

Everyone is asleep already here except me. My AC tendons are killing me tonight! :(

Hersey The post roast recipe sounds great! I'll have to try that one. I'm always looking for new crockpot recipes this time of year. :thumbsup2

Debbie Can't wait for you to share your trip with us! :teeth:

Kim What did you have for dinner at Red Lobster??

slo The meeting went well. My troop can be really chatty, and my co-leader too, so getting them to settle down can be a struggle at times.
We were under a time crunch to get all our work and activities done. I had to skip making our fruit salad for the sake of time.
The apples came out really well. I had one bite of Lauren's just to make sure. :thumbsup2 We also made the coolest multi-colored crayons from broken crayon pieces. We baked them in the oven! :)
SamIAm brought her daughter to our meeting so she could get an idea of what Girl Scouting is about. They just live down the road from me.
The girls all liked having her there! :goodvibes

Becky Congrats to your son and his art work!!! :smooth:

Rosemarie Good news about your DD! :goodvibes

Jedi We didn't care too much for the Disney outlet store in Gurnee. I think we spent a whooping $10 there!! :sad2:
Hope you're doing well!

Hi to everyone else out there! :wave2:

I'm out of here!!!!!
:dance3:

Good evening everyone. Finally caught up on all missed pages. Took hours!!
Rosemarie, glad to hear Crissy's MRI turned out well for her and for you. Good news!!
Becky good news for your son. Hope the display goes well.
Jedi-hope you are doing alright. :grouphug: for you.
DMM where are you? Hope you had a great trip. Haven't hit the TR board yet. I will have to do that next week.
Debbie-glad to hear you had a good time. Too bad we didn't know who each other was. We could've tried to meet up.
Bunchkin-hope you are well and that whatever the trouble was is resolved. I am sorry we will miss the pumpkin meet. I was really hoping to make that one, but DD just got her rehearsal schedule for ballet and she has a 10am rehearsal. They are getting ready for Winterdance (big recital the parkdistrict ballet program has every other year) and practices will be hard core from now through January. The teacher stresses the girls be at EVERY practice.
Kim- :bday: Hope you had a great day!!!
I shall be joining those on the other side of the hill tomorrow morning at 10:45am according to my birth certificate. I prefer to ignore the whole thing!! LOL
Slo-my DS had a pumkin patch meet on Wed this week. The entire 1st grade classes came back looking like they had just rolled out of the pig sty. They were covered in mud. But I have to agree with you about the County Line Apple Orchard. Best place for caramel apples and those donuts are to die for. I am sorry my kids are out of preschool now. We went there each year for a field trip. Missed it this year. I'd love one of those caramel apples right about now!!!
Also, had to mention that the pillows at both of our hotels were horrible as well. They were much too thick!! DH and I ended up rolling up towels in pillowcases to use as pillow instead. Funny you thought the same thing. Anyone else??
OK I will try to work on a trip report and post it-probably here. Not too good to post on a TR board, but I know my Chicagoland friends won't poke too much fun at me for my lack of expertise. I can count on all of you.
For now, off to bed. Glad to be on the same page again. Night all.

Hi all-
Slo, Geffric, NiteOwl, and anyone else concerned about Chrissy's MRI results.
I FINALLY got the results this morning, after I ranted to Chrissy's Ped Card office that this is the 3rd time I have called this week wanting her MRI results.
The full-time office nurse that handles calling the families, etc has been home all this week due to her strained back. Anyways, the receptionist I ranted to said the nurse has the charts at her house and will call me today w/ results. I asked if they can call me as the first priority today. So I got the call from the nurse this morning and got to talk with her a few minutes. Everything looks good so far, no need for surgery this yr!!! :cool1:
The conduit in Chrissy's heart has mild to moderate leakage, but not enough to have surgery. Her blood perfusion is good. I asked the nurse if she can send me a copy of the MRI results when she has a chance. She said when she goes back to the office next week, she will copy the MRI and send the copy via mail to me. So I'm happy with hte good news! I didn't think Chrissy needed her surgery yet, since she is doing well. But good to get those results tho.
Thank you all for your prayers and PD :goodvibes

Hi to all :wave2:

Watching my shows tonight. Talk to you all later.
Glad it was good news :yay: Does this mean she will have to have surgury at some point though?

Good Saturday morning :surfweb:

The Fun Fair at Stephanie's school last night was alot of fun. I'm starting to meet alot of mom's, which is really nice. Stephanie's been wanting to go on playdates, but I'm not comfortable sending her somewhere, when I never met the parents. Now that I have met some people, maybe we can start thinking about playdates :)

Today is going to be very non-eventful. We are just going to hang out at home and relax - I love those type of days!!! :teeth:

Debbie - I'm glad you are going to do a TR :) If you do it on the TR Board, please let us know when you are done.

Rosemarie - My birthday was nice, thanks for asking :goodvibes I got a lot of wonderful things for my birthday this year. Kevin came home from work with a dozen red roses (red being my favorite), and he also gave me the WDW Precious Moments (he had them shipped home from WDW w/o me knowing) (I collect Precious Moments). My mom gave me a new Snow White coffee mug with some Disney Dollars in it (I asked for Disney Dollars for our Janurary trip). My DB and DSIL gave me a gift certificate to Old Navy, one of my favorite stores. My MIL & FIL also gave me money for our January trip and some new slippers. So, I was very blessed with some nice birthday gifts :teeth:

macraven - How was Fright Fest? I hope you had a good time!!!

Jedi - :wave2:

Donna - :wave2:

HERSEY - Thanks for that receipe!! I"m going to write it down and give it a try :goodvibes

Becky - Congratulations to your DS :cheer2: You must be so proud!!! Take a picture of it and post it on here, we would love to see it!!! :)

Bunchkin - I'm glad your meeting went well :thumbsup2 That's awesome that Sam & her DD were able to come by - how fun!!! You all making those crayons is inspiring me to get out Stephanie's crayon maker. We have so many old crayons that we can use.
**How are your AC Tendons feeling today? I sure hope they are feeling better. If not, here's some PD :wizard: to help them not be so sore.

Kim - I love it when my B-day falls on a Friday. I always take advantage of it to do as little as possible the whole weekend, as a b-day present to myself :teeth:

NiteOwl - :wave2:

Well, I'm off to make some breakfast - have a good day everyone!!

I guess I am the late one now. I didn't use candles either but next year Donna and I are gonna set this thread on fire :lmao:

Hi Carrie
I have the quote below of the explanation of Chrissy's heart and future
surgeries. Instead of me typing this all over again, I just went and quoted myself :teeth: . Geffric asked the same thing yesterday. Thanks for asking!

Yes, she will, unfortunately. We were told when she was born, within the first 24 hr of her birth, that she will need subsequent surgeries to relace the conduit as she grows. She has a human tissue conduit now. Maybe at her next surgery or the one after, she may have a mechanical conduit. Her last surgery was at 18 months old. Her ped. card. surgeon put in a huge conduit that will last her a few yrs.The conduit does not grow with hte heart, so multiple surgeries to replace the conduit. Tho we have been blessed that she hasn't has as many surgeries so far as we once thought. Why we had to get the MRI done, to get the measurents of hte conduit, blood flow, etc. Sorry if I'm getting technical here  Thanks for asking! :goodvibes

Rosemarie---That makes sense, it's like putting tubes in the ears they fall out when they get to small. I don't mind you quoting yourself, I should have read more :teeth:

macraven---how was Fright Fest? I have never went :confused3 DD Stacey has been a few years and was going to go this year but we planned a quick trip to the World instead.
