well I am turning so old and gray so fast I turn 26 today. I wonder how that makes my mom feel

Good Morning everyone! Well I am up bright and early, no Hayley today, my MIL took her overnight yesterday and she will be home later today around 3pm, so that gives me time alone with Katelyn and Katelyn really needs the one on one time with mommy.

26 is not old...............90 is old and you have a very long way to go to that number.


it is children that gives us ladies gray hair. how kind of them

Packing is finally DONE!
don't have to worry about that anymore.

Instead of playing Scene IT we wathced the 2 Toy Story movies. so cute!

Leigh, i am not a fan of Gurnee Mills unless i know exactly what i want. i just don't like the shear size of it and it's lay out. but htey have some alright stores.

I will be going to church in a bit too, so you will be doubly covered today.

I had a rough night last night though, one of our cats was not acting normal, so I had DH take her in to the emergency vet hospital. She's severely dehydrated. They thought it might be kidney failure, which would have been really bad. They ran tests and it appears it wasn't any organ failures but 2 of her numbers were out of whack (I forgot for what -- sodium & potassium? or something like that electrolytes?). Since it wasn't something that there was no hope for, we went ahead with the process of giving her fluids, getting her numbers back in balance and we will go from there. We are just at the wait and see game now, we have to call 2x/day to find out if she will respond to the treatment and get better. I'm going to have DH call before we leave for church & then we will call later in the evening. It's possible this is just a fluke thing and won't happen again OR it's possible it's a very rare disease that dogs usually get but not cats (if she's like my kids, then she probably has it becuase my kids are always getting abnormal things that "Kids this age don't get this"). She's almost 13 years old though, so it just may be no reason other than she's old. We have had her since she's been about 6-8 weeks old.

Good Sunday morning everyone!!!

Nothing exciting happening here today
I'm going to study, do laundry, and start laying out what the girls are going to wear on vacation on the dining room table (I lay out what they are going to wear according to day and then put a piece of paper on top with each day on it. Then when we are on vacation, I just take the pile for the day we are on and there's no thought on what they are going to wear. It worked beautifully for me last year)

Leigh - I'm glad you were able to find a dress!!!

Bunchkin - I will definitly show you the girls pictures. I am so proud of them!!

Kim - Again, many hugs to you and your family . How is Kelly doing with this news? I hope she is doing okay? Thank you for posting those articles. I feel so sad for you and your family.

macraven - Thanks for keeping us covered at church. I feel so bad, we haven't gone in such a long time.

Michelle - I'm glad you got your packing done . It's always such a chore isn't it?!?! That's fun that you watched the Toy Story's - those are my favorite Disney/Pixar movies!!!!!

Becky - I'm so sorry to hear about your cat I will keep your cat in my thoughts and prayers . I know how much a pet means to the family.

Well, that's about it from me for now. I'm going to throw some french toast sticks in the oven and get this day started. Have a good Sunday everyone!!

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I got to sleep in a little bit this morning!! That was nice...and unusual!!!

DH brought up the suitcases yesterday from the basement and cleaned them all. Hunter has been running around with his Stitch suitcase and filling it up with his stuffed buddies and blankets. He lugs it up and down the stairs!! That kid is so strong!!!

slo Your packing idea sounds good. Do you also put their clothes into ziplocks? We've done ziplocks and the roll method. The roll method works good for the kids and helps keep wrinkles away.

I am so hoping to get some stuff done next week with the kiddos in school for 4 whole days!

Dd Gracie LOVES 1st grade! brought her lunch for the first time Friday...& she had a great time!

NOt sure on the other dd yet...she hasn't said much....

Hi all-
Macraven- thanks for the birthday greetings yest!!

I was going to post late last night, but I fell asleep before I got to the computer, oh well. My birthday dinner went well. Got some nice gifts! No WDW or Disneyland hopper passes or trips or anything like that, but some other gifts. Had a good time at dinner last night.
Today, we are going to visit my grandma at the nursing home and share a piece of birthday cake with her. Tonight, my friend from church is going to babysit hte kids while dh and I go to see Dennis DeYoung (the curly-haired guy from STYX) perform at our festival. Should be pretty cool!
Last night, Gary Sinese (from CSI NY and Forrest Gump) had performed at our festival. He tours with his Lt. Dan Band. Unfortunately, we didin't go see him last night, but looking forward to the Dennis DeYoung concert tonight We can see the fireworks from our condo, from the fest. They do the fireworks every night for the 3 nights, right after the evening concert is over.- which is about 10pm.
Tomorrow morning, we have our Labor Day parade at 10am. Matthew and dh are going to march in the parade with Matt's Cub Scouts Pack.
So we are having a pretty busy weekend!
