OK..COMING OUT OF THE CLOSET.....to say that the other two Monkey's names were Peter Tork and Michael Nesmith and I knew that from memory. I really do think I'm a Stepford wife or something. Some kind of voo doo hocus pocus stuff that makes my mind work to remember Monkeys and not names of friends we've known for years. :rotfl2:

 :rotfl2:

Ok my only excuse was what was there to watch on tv then on all 7 channels? There was no cable kiddies. Alex is so confused only 7 channels no 24 hour tv? That criminal he says. :rotfl:

Ok, I'll come out of the closet, too. I had a HUGE crush on Davy Jones! :rotfl2:

When I was a kid, my best friend lived 3 houses away, and she would come over every morning at 9am to watch the Monkees with me.

:happytv:

Ummm, did I also mention that I met Micky Dolenz at the Auto Show one year? I've also been to 2 concerts.

Good Evening LaDIS, Thank you all for your kind words. This morning was my 1st day back at my part time job and we had a grief counselor. I think it went pretty well for most of the techs but a few of us are still in a state of shock. he morning came by quickly which was a good thing. Again thank you for all your kind words.

The last page I've read was page 561 and finally read it to the last one and again after all the reading most of the details now I have forgotten.

Hope all is well with everybody's back to school. Bunchkin, I agree kids can be mean sometimes and it is better to nip it now than later. Well one more day and weekend is here. Hope all is well with your health ( heart and foot).

DMM PM on it's way regarding those tupperwares! I hope you remember not to buy!

Mindy am jealous!! 10 days ??? or is it much lesser by now ?

To everybody again thank you for all the good warm thoughts... This is the best page/thread ever

Well, in my wait to get that deal on backpacks and lunchbags, lost out on DD getting Tink. TDS in my area are out of Tink. Only have the rolling ones. So what's a cheapskate to do? Go online to DisneyShopping.com and con DD into the Tink backpack from there. Oh, and DS got Power Rangers Mystic Force-both personalized. And..... while I was there, luggage just happened to be the deal of the week. So...... I'm ready to leave now!!!!! Oh, yeah. No shipping and an extra 10% off. WooHoo!!!! :cool1:
Got DD Belle costume from there the other day for Halloween here at home. Yep, deal of the week, extra 20% off and no shipping.
At WDW we're using last years costumes from the Peter Pan group.
OK, now that I've spent this weeks bonus pay money, I guess I'll have to go work a bonus day. LOL!!!

Are you still interested with that back pack. I called the TDS here and they have 2 left and I asked them to hold one for me. I did not ask for the lunch tote but I think I will be able to grab it 1st thing in the morning. Please PM me tonight if you are still interested with the Tink backpack and lunch tote, the Tink wallet is out already

The Monkeys was one of the first albums a ever bought. :listen:

"Hey, hey we're the Monkeys" on ME TV.

Princess Mindy I am so jealous. The AKL!!! We were there in Oct 2004. I loved that hotel. The smells!!!!! I can still remember what the lobby smelled like (no-no animal smells). :lmao: Sometimes when the kids and I are in a park that has newly laid cedar chips I will ask DD what that smells like and she knows right away-AKL! And the smoked wood smell. They have story time by the firepit at night. Our last day there, the storyteller approached DD and asked her to be the princess for the story that night. We were leaving so she didn't get to do it. She was so disappointed. We had a savannah view and I loved getting up to watch the sunrise when no one else was awake. Just me, the animals and the sun. Awesome!!! :sunny:
OK and for all you weirdos out there with your Monkee fettish :rotfl2: Do you also remember the Banana Splits, Courtship of Eddie's Father, Sigmund the Sea Monster and all those other hannabarbara shows on Ch. 32? Oh my goodness. Trip down memory lane.

Thank you thank you! Alex was watching something the other day and they stole the Banana splits song. I couldn't remember the name of that show.

Antss I'm glad you posted. I was wondering how you are doing. :grouphug: Continued hugs to you.

Slo How's your studying going? Is Stephanie adjusting well to school so far. Alex is such a goof. He is looking forward to his homework. He calls me as soon as he gets home. He has a project already due in Sept.. He has to spend a million $$ and show what he bought.I hope he remembers dear old mom! :rotfl2:

That got me thinking how would you all spend a million $$? It's ok to be selfish. I think I might get a massage first. I have always wanted one.

Ok I'm off. Talk you all later have a good day :sunny:

Good morning and TGIF!!!! :cool1:

I'm taking Kate for her 3 year old pictures this afternoon, and I'm hoping she does well. She is already up :guilty: which makes me nervous about her being crabby later. She is not the world's best picture taker to begin with, so we'll see what happens

Stephanie finally has her first soccer practice tonight, and she's pretty excited :Pinkbounc The coach said that after today, all practices will be on Monday nights, which is bad because Stephanie has dance on that night. I told him that in the spring the teams practiced on Tuesday and Wednesdays, so I purposly did dance on Mondays. I told him that dance is paid for and committed to and there's no turning back. He didn't seem very happy, but what am I suppossed to do. Either one I don't get refunded for if I withdraw and dance is certainly more expensive by alot!!! Oh well, we'll see if it all works out.

:lmao: :happytv:

I was trying to explain to my DD about how they would do the National Anthem and then sign off for their broadcasting day really late at night. I would stay up in the summer and watch TV until then on occassion. She just looked at me with that "Mom you are crazy & I don't even comprehend what you are saying" looks.

Of course, we also had TV wtih KNOBS on it & we had a really old black & white one down in the basement where you had to put the one knob on "U" and then I believe it was 32 for WFLD? HEY...You know I just thought of something (OK, I'm slow)...WFLD is always advertising itself as "The U" -- Now I get it. :rotfl2: I never put the connection there until I was typing this out.

Heaven forbid you weren't home to watch your show either...you missed it. No VCR or TiVo or any other contraption to watch it later.

Ahh....I feel so old now. :charac2:
