ahh it's good to be missed :) :goodvibes:

let's see as far as 1million...

I would buy a bigger house (nothing too small!! but nothing huge either JUST the right size!!) then i would furnish it.

I would buy a new Van without waiting for my old one to die!! :lmao: and i will just give away my old van to a needy family.

I would put away money for kids (college/downpayment on homes)

And i would give away 50thousand to Catholic Charities.

Finally we would go to the WORLD for 3months straight and then put the rest away for a rainy day ::yes::

HAPPY FRIDAY, HAPPY HAPPY FRIDAY!

Well, I guess this is nearly the last weekend of summer (unofficially right). Hard to believe it went by so fast. I didn't even wish it away and it still went by fast.

Well yesterday was a bad day, so today's gotta be better. I got my pinkie finger (left hand) slammed in a door and it's now black and blue and hurts like the dickens each time I type A (ouch).

Secondly, the school "misplaced" Megan for 20 minutes yesterday and her afterschool program called to ask if she was with me! I was like, NO SHE'S NOT WITH ME, YOU NEED TO FIND HER NOW! Turns out, she was in the "car riders" line waiting to be picked up and when no one came, she was sent to the office. They finally figured out where she needed to go, but not after I nearly lost my mind sitting on the train wondering if they stuck her on the bus and she'd go home to locked doors and no one around to keep an eye on her! Today, she went with a big sticker on her shirt that says MEGAN D**** IVY LEAGUE! Ivy League is the name of her after school program. I also called the school this morning and gave them a piece of my mind! :furious:

I know things are hectic the first few days, but now I know of two people they have lost track of! ACCCK! We pay way too much $$$ in taxes and fees to have these types of problems. The good thing though is that the teacher never left her. Stayed with her until she figured it out!!

So, I'm happy its Friday, my poor little girl has had enough that's for sure!!

I gotta read back and catch up!! Take y'all!

Okay.......so let me tell you how annoyed I am right now.

I just got done curling Katie's hair for 1/2 hour (which is not easy to do with a 3 year old) and ironing her dress and the portrait studio called. They are having technical difficulties and are not sure if they can do the pictures today :guilty: They told me to call before I leave to see if their computers are up, and if not we can reschedule. So here I sit, waiting for the right time to call. Poor Katie stood there that whole time, and now might not be able to get the picture taken :furious:

I know things happen, and it's not their fault, but I'm still annoyed.

Okay, I feel better now that I got that off my chest.

Well, I just called and their systems are still down. I guess we aren't going today :guilty:

I guess I'll take this time now to study while Katie is taking her nap

Good morning. I just dropped Allison off for her first day of school. brand new school and a whole lot of new teachers and students. I felt so bad for her. She was so nervous. She looked at the kids and says, mom where do I go? What do I do? I just told her to follow the crowd and not to worry it is only for a couple of hours today. Then I had to reasure her that I'd be back to pick her up soon. I've never seen her like this before. Normally she is very calm and cool.

If she thinks middle school is rough, wait until she gets a load of high school.

Poor Allison :guilty:
I was nervous before middle school and high school too. I hope things get better for her as she goes through her day. Please keep us posted on how her first day went.

So DH and i have been talking (VIA IM since he is at work!!) and we're wondering about now leaving on the 27th hahaha!!! really late at night, like 11pm. The kids do better when they are in a deep sleep and we put them in their carseats. This what we have done before. But we're not sure. We really don't think the car will be loading in time on the 27th. So we're just tossing ideas around. Otherwise thinking obout still leaving on the 28th but at like 3am.

WHat is this Atlanta Traffic all the drivers talk about?? Is it that bad and when should i avoid it? and how long from chicago-area is Atlanta? thanks!

Autumn is a 2pm napper, but with this new computer i hope she's not too awake! haha!! That's what she started doing the minute she woke up! she went to her desk and played on her computer :sad2: she didn't even come out of her room to say hi like always!!

Gabriel is asleep right now but he should be up in an hour, it's just his short nap.

Hi DMM - driving to the world?.. well we do it every year.

Are you going to take 65 down through Indiana or go through ILL? We take the Indiana way and stop for cheap gas all the way down. check out flyingj.com for gas prices. Altanta is 10 or more hours from Chicago. We usually leave about 2:30- 3 am, so we can fly around chicago on the tollway. Then 65 south.

When the kids were little, I had gone to the McDonald's website and they have a map of all of the McD's and playlands all the way down. It really helped , the kid got to play a bit and the restrooms were clean for changing them.

Atlanta traffic isn't that bad but we avoid doing atlanta during rush hour. Neither the beltway or the route straight thru town is better but we usually run into traffic from the Altanta airport to outside of Macon.

If you need anythihg, let me know.

We did get that advice about the playplaces! We have to print that up still. It sounds like a GREAT idea! Esp. since my mom gave us a mcds gift card for the road! haha!

I had fun this morning video taping construction trucks blowing through the stop sign across the street from my house. You should see how they drive!! And they do this with the kids around at the bus stop too!! :furious:
I called the police and was told my concerns would be told to a superviser.
Well, I'm going to video tape when the kids get off the bus too.
And then let's just see what I do with the tape!!! :stir: BWAAAAAHAAA!!
I've been complaining about this for the year and a half I've lived here! :furious:

slo I'm so sorry you went through all of that for the picture appt to be cancelled. I'm sure Katie must look so cute with her hair curled too!! princess:

Michelle I'm glad you heard from your mom!! ::yes::
Avoid Atlanta in the rush hour time!!!! We hit Atlanta around morning rush hour and it was starting to resemble a parking lot!!
Is my TDS gift card full yet?? :teeth:

SamIAm I can't believe Megan was put in the wrong line. Her teacher should have know what to do with her. :sad2: I believe they are aware of which kids get on special buses for daycare and the like.
Lauren's 3rd grade teacher doesn't even escort them outside, it's up to the kids to get on the right bus!

Hi to everyone!! :wave2:

If I had a million dollars
(If I had a million dollars)
I'd buy you a house
(I would buy you a house)
If I had a million dollars
(If I had a million dollars)
I'd buy you furniture for your house
(Maybe a nice chesterfield or an ottoman)
And if I had a million dollars
(If I had a million dollars)
Well, I'd buy you a K-Car
(A nice Reliant automobile)
If I had a million dollars I'd buy your love
