scrappinmom- Good for you, going to the gym! It is tough to get going again once you stop!
tigger- After you get off the tram at the airport, you just follow the crowds down the escalators. You will see cm's down there directing you which way to go. Oh, and did you know how fattening those Mickey Head ice cream bars are? Okay, if you want to gasp, see for yourself when you are there. Ignorance is bliss. Besides, like Jedi said, calories don't count at WDW!
Leigh- I have been to that store. Very cute stuff, but ouch! Expensive. I only pay for ridicuolusly priced things while at WDW! :rotfl2:
DMM- How is dd? Any better? Have you caught her cold yet? My sister brought one back from WDW and finally gave it to me. I told her to stop touching all the railings there. :sad2: I told her she was going to pick up germs! :rotfl:
Everyone else...Hi!
I had my first class tonight. We got out early, which is always good. The teacher was funny and seemed pretty nice. He told us he either gives an a or an f and all of is grading is totally subjective and possibly illegal. Yikes. I hope he likes me!!! We also get to miss two classes with out being penalized. I am definitly going to miss Halloween. Gotta take my little Davy Jones and Elizabeth Swann out so I can, I mean they can, get candy!!!

PAint I had no idea Mickey bars had calories :confused3 . When Alex was little and even now I have to constantly remember "no we can't go home now" not enough candy. There used to be a neighbor that would give out the giant size chocolate bars, Oh how I miss him. :teeth:

Bunchkin MAIL I love getting good mail. I feel like Steve or what's the new guy in Blues clue? That was Alex's fav show.

He was Steve one year long ago in a land far far away. When I didn't have to buy costumes and he let me make them. Oh the memories.

jedi_librarian I know exactly how you feel I don't feel good when there no sun for days.My step mom used to have one of those lamps that helped her alot. I forget what they're called.

Mac My coworkers and I decided yesterday we should only be made to work 1 day a week but get paid big $$ for that 1 day like 2 weeks worth  Oh wishful thinking when I'm queen. I need to make a list.

Good Wednesday morning everyone!! :surfweb:

Yawn....boy am I tired after a long day yesterday. I could have slept another couple of hours

Today is the funeral. I wanted to keep Katie home with my mom, but everyone wants her there. I think it a big mistake, but.....what do I know, I'm just her mother . When she acts up and is loud, because that's how she can get, I hope they all know who wanted to keep her home.

Thanks for everyone's kind thoughts yesterday - I appreciate it!!!! :grouphug:

scrappinmom - I'm glad you mentioned the ponchos - I forgot about them. I need to find mine too now :)

NiteOwl - Good luck with your first day as being CVS :wizard:

Bunchkin - I'm glad your PT seems to be working and your confident your feet and ankles will be ready for vacation :)

To everyone else - Hi there!!! :wave2:

Well, I gotta run - have a good day today!!!

Good Morning,

it's Wednesday already I love the week is almost over. I would have to agree all workweeks should start on Tuesday!

My family and I are still in shock over Steve Irwin, My son who found his love in animals from watching Steve on Animal Planet is really upset and has been flipping through the channels looking for stories on him.

On a happier note my daughter started preschool yesterday she loves it. Lets just hope that it keeps going. DS is now in the 5th grade, I can't believe he will be in Jr. High next year. Where does the time go?

DD has decided she wants to be all the princesses for Halloween...lol I went to Disneystore.com and everyone we looked at she wanted to be that one. I hope we can narrow it down a bit as the time gets closer.

well, have to get ready for work have a wonderful day today.

it's

jedi/carmen: i committed you and your fam with me to meet antss at dumbo 10 pm during the mnsshp. be there or be square !!

it was posted in the beginning of joining up with their motherland meet.
i'll repost it as a reminder weekly on the ladies thread.

ok, my blondeness is showing again.
i read thru the thread and even took notes so i could reply intelligently.
now, i can't find my notes.
in view of that, i will cover all the bases:

congratulations, happy birthday, happy anniversary, so sorry about that, you will get better, hang in there, yes, no rain and sunny, and, i wil be back later.

all have a great day!

Morning all :) I too love that it's already Wednesday ! One day closer to the end of Sept & my trip!! I got so much done yesterday. It was my first day with the kids gone all day and no errands out of the house to run (after the gym). I'm amazed at how fast I can clean the house when no one is following me messing up what I just cleaned up! :rotfl:

Speaking of costumes...I have a pretty close to new teal Jasmine costume in a 7/8 (but those things run small) dd is wayyy to big for....Anyone here need it? I'd be happy to send it to you. Just PM me your info.

Today the drywallers are coming to sand and finish the basement...so I'm gonna try to find something to do for most of the day....the gym...& then Starbucks & then I don't know...but I know I don't want to be here!!!

Have a great day everyone!

forgot one question posed to me some days back.

no, i have not told mr mac yet i am taking a vacation.

still thinking on how to break the news to him.......

i did think of slipping a note and card in his briefcase and write on it, do not open until 6:30......he is going to the civil war chgo chapter of the round table this friday night and will have some drinks before it starts.

for some reason, this way of telling him just doesn't seem too kewl.

hahahah THat's funny...I just told dh a week ago....Luckily I knew he didn't want to go with us.

Good luck with telling him Mac!

Good morning, all...hope everyone had a good holiday weekend!

Today is our anniversary...26 years of wedded happiness! :goodvibes Truly, I feel very lucky, in that I really did marry my best friend, and he can still make me laugh--and that's a *good* thing!

Mark & I decided at the very last minute on Saturday to head up to Lake Geneva, WI. We were lucky to get a room at the new Comfort Suites up there, and we were even able to use the discount coupon I bought from the Radio Shopping Show!!! :cool1: We had perfect weather on both Saturday and Sunday. Yes, we go to Lake Geneva a LOT, but we find it just so peaceful and relaxing to just sit by the lake and kind of chill there.

Monday was the day Brian's band marched in the Schaumburg Labor Day parade. We were quite concerned that the weather was going to kind of ruin things, but as it turned out, the rain held off and the band played on! :thumbsup2 <I looked for you, Rose, with all the scouts that were marching, but I see you guys decided not to go this time>.

Becky... :grouphug: how are you?

Jedi...glad to read you are feeling better.

Bunchkin...I'm sooooo glad you aren't totally *packed* yet...I was beginning to feel very inadequate, since I would *never* be ready that soon! :) I hope that your physical therapy continues to be really helpful for you!

Sandy...you and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers...

Kim...are you guys going out to California? Or, will there be another memorial service in the area here? You are also in my prayers...

DisneyMommyMichelle...hope everything is okay by you...I read about the flooding out in Rockford..please check in and let us know how you are. Did you have a good anniversary weekend?

Amy...I'm soooo sorry, I missed your birthday....happy belated birthday to you!!!

Hersey...I'm waiting for you to be queen...I will be your royal subject--I really like all your ideas and plans for your private island!!!

Everyone else  hope you all have a GREAT day today.

Good morning!!! :sunny:

Today is Hunter's 1st day of preschool!!! He is soooo excited!! It's a short day though, a day to meet the teacher and see the room and possibly meet some other children. :teeth:

Donna Happy Anniversary to you and Mark!!! Sounds like you have a wonderful weekend!!! :)
I have NOT packed AT ALL!!! :teeth: Just suit cases sitting empty in my bedroom!! :thumbsup2 I've got too much going on elsewise to worry about packing right now!! :rotfl:

slo I don't blame you for not wanting Katie to go to the funeral. I was the same way with Hunter when my Dad died in January, but my mom wanted him there. :sad2:

Disneynut-Michelle Glad to see you posting again!!
Good luck to your DD on her 1st day of preschool too!! :thumbsup2

macraven I'm glad I'm not you!! :rotfl: I'm not too sure that my DH would be very pleasant if I told him at the last moment that I was going on vacation!!! :rotfl2:

scrappin I sure do hope those drywallers keep all the dust in the basement!!! :thumbsup2 I remember when we finished the basement in our old house....what a mess!!! And we did it all ourselves!! :teeth:

Hersey Blue's new roommate (LOL!!!) is named Joe. He is Steve's younger brother. ;) Also did you know that Blue now has a younger brother herself??? Very cool!!! :thumbsup2
I love getting mail too!!!! :cool1: Especially if it is anything to do with Disney!! :mickeyjum :tigger: :goofy:

paintnolish I hope your 1st day of school went well for you!!! :teeth:

From a thread on the transportation board yesterday, I was able to get my airfare reduced with Air Trans. So now I have a $92 credit with them! I have no idea what we are going to do with it!!!! :confused3 I would have liked to have used it to fly out to the west coast this winter.....but they don't fly to there from Chicago!!! Bummer!!!

Any American Girl fans out there.....the new Emily doll, Molly's friend, is now on sale. And there is a bunch of news on the new Molly movie as well, which will be on the Disney channel in Nov. :cool1:

Good morning everyone!! :sunny:

It's sunny and I didn't get rained on today and that's a good thing! Bunchkin, I don't know why, but I can't remember where y'all are staying on this vacation? I know lots of folks are staying at Pop, but where you gonna be?

Megan and I are going for haircuts tonight! I don't wait til the last minute now do I? Her school is having picture day tomorrow! Megan had a hard time getting it together this morning and she was crying when I left her at Ivy League. I hate leaving her like that, but in a weird way, I get a little miffed because she guilts me out so bad. She had a rough day yesterday with one of her friends and I know she doesn't enjoy her before/after school care program...and I feel like a bad mom. Now I will spend the day racking my brains trying to figure out how to fix this for her. The bad part is, I can't fix this one. :confused3 I did get the fences mended last night with her friend, but this before/after school care thing is a fact of life for us.

No one said parenting was easy right!

Well, I'm super excited for everyone who is leaving soon. I have 81 days to go! I think I need to go get a Disney book or something to "abate" my excitement for a while. I was thinking of the Hidden Mickey's book so we can spot a few more on this trip! On another note, you know how "we" go to WDW once a year and we sort of take the same pictures over and over. Same spots, same places, same attractions, the kids are older, but the pictures sort of look similar? Well, I have a friend who went on vacation and everywhere she went, she only took pictures of the signs. So, for this trip, I'm thinking about getting some of the same types of shots, but also just taking pictures of all the signs in WDW (that interest me). What do you think? I think it could make for an interesting photo collection.

Have a good day everyone!

:dance3:

I'm doing all right. I think our other cat is finally adjusting which is a good thing. She was starting to be annoying. :rotfl2: Considering she would come up to me in the morning while I was sound asleep and MEOW LOUDLY, very, very LOUDLY to the point of waking me up at *way before morning* times. However, she would refuse to jump on the bed (that was other cat's territory -- she was the upstairs kitty & Milkshake (the cat we still have) had domain over the basement -- they shared the main area, so she would just sit there meowing at me! So, I would have to pick her up on the bed & then s he would settle down. Now, at least she waits for me to wake up & then follows me around meowing but that I can handle much better. I'm such not a nice person to be woken up like that.

I will do mostly OK until I start thinking about things. DH took pictures of Bandit when they went to visit her to say good-bye but I haven't been able to look at those pictures yet.

DD & DH ganged up on me last night telling me we need to get a new kitty. I don't WANT a new kitty right now. What I really want to do is wait until it's Milshakes time since she is an old kitty too (she's actually a year older than Bandit was) & then get 2 new kittens at the same time. DH didn't like that idea because he said it could be another 10 years. He told DD next Halloween...GRRR and I think he's overriding me on this one. We do need to wait until DS-2 is a little older as I'm afraid he might hurt a kitten by accident because they are so small. I know we definitely want a kitten though as opposed to an older cat but I don't know how well our older cat would deal with a new kitten, she may not like it so well. Knowing my luck they are going to want to get 2 kittens anyway & end up with 3 cats (that they have been harrassing me about oh....for a few years now to get another kitten so we would have had 3 cats & I have kept putting my foot down on no 3rd cat!)

Oh, there is one Disney related funny to everything though. DH used the Disney visa to pay for all the fees and the guy taking the payment made a comment to him about "racking up those Disney points", apparently him & his fiance are going to Disney for their honeymoon. The guy is not that thrilled but his wife-to-be wants to go. And what do I think when DH tells me this -- Hmm...I wonder if she is on the DIS. :rotfl: So, now we have to go to Disney World in memory of kitty. We did think it kind of humorous that the cat in her final day helped us pay to go see a mouse. :cat: ::MickeyMo

DonnaW -- Happy Anniversary.

slo -- :grouphug:

Hersey -- That would be Joe (in Blue's Clues paw: )

Welcome to all our newcomers & Hello to everyone else. :wave2:

You fit right in with the rest of us. Sorry guys! :rotfl2:
Hey, that doesn't offend me! :lmao:

Mac - so we're meeting at Dumbo? OK! :teeth:

DonnaW - Happy Anniversary! :cheer2: Here's to many more happy, laughter-filled years! :wizard:

Becky - You seem to be feeling better now, I'm glad to see that :grouphug: I love your thinking - that Bandit has helped you pay for a trip to see the mouse! :rotfl2: I'm sure he's off in a better place, chasing birds and mice, enjoying the WHOLE house to himself and napping away :goodvibes Maybe if we ever have our scrapbook meet, you should come and do a mini album on Bandit! I did one for DH when his 25 year old parrot died and every once in awhile, I catch him looking through the album, smiling through tears of joy :goodvibes

Hi, everyone! :wave2:

This is a quick drive-by posting from me. Still not feeling so hot. Had to cancel all appointments for today -- one dentist appt. for me and two ENT appts for the kids.

The sun'll come out, tomorrow.... :sunny:

Hope you all have a great Wednesday! :yay:

Speaking of 666......... :rotfl:

Do you want to hear something freaky???? :teeth:

DD's, DS's and myself have first, middle and last names that all have 6 letters in them each.
666!!!

:rotfl2:

Maybe this is why we love the Haunted Mansion so much!!! :hmghost: :hmghost: :hmghost:

Hersey You are right!!! We are all strange!! Stanger then the strangers that visit us here!!! :rotfl2: :teeth:

Michele I hope your felling better soon.
We always have someone in our house get the stomach bug right before a vacation!!

Donna Ok, I broke down today!!! :sad2:
I went and packed one suitcase full of odds and ends. (ponchos, birthday decoraton supplies for Lauren's b-day, pop-up hamper, disposible cameras for the kids, etc)
I couldn't help myself!!! I was sick of having my walk-in closet full of stuff lying all over the place!!! :rotfl:

SamIAm Yes you are waiting till the last minute for those hair cuts!! :teeth: What is Megan wearing for picture day?? princess:

You should get that new book from the Passporter people, it's about treasure hunts while at WDW!!!! I saw this at Borders in Orland and it was really neat!! :thumbsup2 I should go back and buy it!! :teeth:
81 days is not *that* far away!!! :yay:

jedi That was nice of you to make a scrapbook about DH's bird! :)

Becky It sounds like your doing better! I would agree with you and wait for another cat. We used to have cats too. One got very sick and had to be put down, it was so sad. And the other had to be given up because he kept attacking DD when she was a baby. A serious jealousy issue with him!!

I know 81 days, not too bad huh! Passporter! Check! I have been wanting to get that one anyway!

Also I got my tickets today and you need to get over to my house and clean up my floor!!!! Mickey confetti all over the kitchen floor... :rotfl: That gives me something a little closer to look forward to! Thanks for handling all that for me! I appreciate it!

Also, did you mention where you were staying or is it a secret? I bet you are staying in a Grand Suite at the Grand Floridian right!! princess:

Time to head out for haircuts... hang loose y'all!

Edited to add: Megan is wearing a dress my father picked out for her. Needless to say, it's one step short of a full on catholic uniform! It looks like a little catholic uniform dress. She likes it though, so go figure!
