disneymama[/B]-Hello! I have a good friend who lives in Morris!

You're kidding! Do you ever get out this way? Ever eat at R-Place?

disneymama-Yes. We get out there quite a bit. Never eaten at R Place, but we got gas last time there. Whoa. That sounds bad. I mean, they also have a gas station. Do you have school aged kids? Her ds is in 2nd and she's got add going into K. Oh, and she has three more younger ones!

FlyingBelle- :grouphug: :grouphug:

Slo- scary about that guy that came to your door. Did you find out yet who he is? Did the police ever find out who he is?
I had to laugh at first about your neighbor's pool exploding :rotfl2: .I saw a video clip of somene's pool exploding like that, on Funniest Home Videos awhile back. I'm sure it wasn't funny at first. Glad their wasn't too much damage to your lawn and their lawn. Did you ever find out what was the cause? Were your neighbor's skinnydipping in their pool? :smooth: :rotfl2: j/k.

Becky2005- Glad you decided you are going to go to your 20th reunion! :thumbsup2 It's nervewracking(sp) at first, b/c you don't know who is going to show up. Unless their is a guest list of classmates saying "attending" or "not attending", but not everyone signs up on the guest list. You'll have a good time. :cool1:

ANTSS- Glad you had a good couple of MHD's of rest! :thumbsup2
I wish my dh would take a MHD, he just gets so stressed out at work lately and sometimes is grumpy when he gets home. He doesn't get much paid sick days. Oh well.

Paint- Best wishes on shopping for a new car :wizard: .
What school are you going to again, to finish your degree? What or where is GSU? Are you taking online courses?

DonnaW- I can't remember where in Roselle you live. Are you getting the Medina- PGA golf tourney traffic?

DMM- We'll miss you here. Have fun with the family! :cool1:

Hi to everyone else :wave2:

ok, gotta run. Talk later.

Rosemarie

Rose- It is Governor's State University and it is in University Park. No online courses this semester.

How is everyone this evenig? It is quiet here, DH is at work until midnight and Stacey is out of town. The birds are pretty noisey though.

WOW! Yes, DD7 is going into 2nd and DD5 is going into kindergarten. Do they go to Saratoga or White Oak? Mine are at Saratoga....

:rotfl: at getting gas at R-Place. I knew what you meant, but it was still funny.

We love going to R' Place! My kids love the marionettes they have...which are Disney!!! So cute!!! We should have an R' Place meet for us "southeners"!!! :rotfl2: :teeth: :thumbsup2

DD has her little friend over now for their sleepover. They've been having lots of fun!! We put up a Scooby Doo play tent in the playroom and they have been in there all night. They just came out for some fresh air!!! :rotfl:
DH is making them chocolate chip cookies AND funnel cakes from Market Day!!! He's a spoiler!!! ::yes::
I think they are going to get the sofa bed ready in the playroom and watch a movie from under the blankets!
DD's friend is a chatty one!! She loves to tell us her family's business!!! :rotfl:
But I'm used to that with my Brownie Troop! They tell me all sorts of things they shouldn't!! ::yes:: And if I told their parents what they say they would probably die of embarassment!! :lmao:

Thanks for all the comments on my small weight loss!! 8 lbs!!
Not bad for an invalid!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2: My mind set has really changed having lost a little weight!! Think healthy, be healthy!! ---> That's my motto!! :cool1: That's why I am here and not in the kitchen with the FUNNEL CAKES!!! :rotfl:

That would be a great place for a meet! :thumbsup2

Bunchkin I'm proud of you. I don't think I could stand the noise those funnel cakes are noisey

disneymama- I don't know which school they go to. I'll ask next time. I know my friend sells Avon, though! Gotten any books in your mailbox?
Bunchkin- Did you say funnel cakes? I'll be right over! How are those Market Day ones? The year before last we had a carnival bday for dd. We fried funnel cakes and corn dogs. So good! Also, kids say the darndest things, don't they? When h and I first seperated, they loved to tell everyone,"We're moving to my grandma's bc my mommy and daddy don't get along." Gee thanks for getting it all out there. Saves me from think up a way to break it to people!
We should have an R Place meet. Don't they have some giant Ethel burger or something?

We had a great time today and DH even met us at the mall after work! :yay: i miss my family already! wish they didn't have to leave already :sad2:

Good evening everyone. Tired tonight. Just read to catch up with everyone. Slo I sure hope they caught up with whoever came knocking on your door. That is unnerving for sure.
Paint-GSU is so close to me. What are you taking there? How did you end up there? Education classes? Seems like a lot of teachers finish up their degrees there.
DMM-feel for you saying good-bye to family. You'll just have to invite them again.
Becky-enjoy the reunion. Went to my 20th in 2004. Was OK. Went to a very small school, and most of my friends were older or younger. The ones from my class that I talk to still live in the area, so no big suprises there for me. But an enjoyable evening. Shoot. Just to get a night out of the house and away from the children makes an enjoyable evening here!!! :rotfl2:
Bunchkin-hope that foot heals up soon. If not, get that scooter and go for it at WDW. Just don't run over anybody. They need to give driving lessons for some people on those things :rotfl:
OK guys. Going to bed. Sleeeeepy very sleeepy

Why yes I have. Maybe it's your friend. Wouldn't it be something if she lives in my subdivision?

A Friend Is Like A Good Bra. Hard to Find,
Supportive, Comfortable,
And Always Close To Your Heart!

  :goodvibes   :goodvibes   :goodvibes   :goodvibes

Tiggerrn- Yes. I am going for a teaching degree- eng for secondary ed.
It is not too far from me, maybe a half and hour.
I just talked to my friend who was in WDW. Overall, they had fun. Her day at Epcot was a toal bust, though. First she had the camera episode and the baby was being really crabby. She had to take her back to the hotel- no test track, no Soarin, to WS at all. She jokingly told me the baby brought back a great souvenier, though. I said, "What, hand, foot, and mouth disease?". I don't know what made me say that, but that is what she got! No wonder she was being cranky!

Hersey Ok, I don't get it. How are funnel cakes noisy?? :confused3 :teeth:

paint Glad to hear you got registered at school! I'm sure you'll get your call backs, they probably haven't even really been to their offices yet.
I know a lot of teachers & adim. that wait till the last minute to return to school.

I do think that R' Place has the Ethel. Years ago they did a report about it on WGN. They were trying to see if someone could finish it and no one could.
:rotfl:

Michelle Sorry you are already missing your family. :grouphug:

6 more minutes and the tv in the playroom goes off!! ::yes::

Hi all! :wave2:

I forgot to respond the other day...thanks to all of you who offered me their children for the pumpkin patch. I think I got 3 offers! Good to know you're all so quick to offer up your kids. ;) :rotfl2:

I might get another trip to WDW next year! My friend who lives in Detroit has decided that she (and another friend of hers that I know) want to go to WDW, maybe in Feb. or March! So I could go then. :sunny: I was surprised, because my friend is more into coasters, but she doesn't want to go to Universal. (She's been before to both before.) But whatever, I'll take it! :teeth: I don't think it would be a long trip, just a couple of days, but it sounds like fun! Maybe we could stay at an Epcot resort. Split between 3 of us it wouldn't be very expensive. :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

I will definitely be getting a scooter if my foot isn't healed properly. We already checked into a few places. I'm a pretty good driver and fast too, so at least if I hit someone they won't be able to get my scooter #.
:rotfl2:

Ok, I have a funnel cake story. I like to tell it because it's just so weird.

I was at the World Figure Skating Championships in Washington, DC, in 2003. They had a funnel cake cart in the concourse and I kept passing it all week and thinking how yummy they looked. Finally I got one. But when I started eating it, I didn't really enjoy it. I don't think there was anything wrong with it. I think I just don't like funnel cakes. I decided that funnel cakes weren't very fun. So I just picked at it a little, but most of it was still left. So at a break I was going upstairs to find a trash can and throw it way. As I was going up the stairs, Brian Boitano was coming down. He saw my funnel cake and said something like, Ooh, yum! So I said, Do you want it?? He laughed and said No. But he really could have had it! But immediately afterward, I realized that he wouldn't have wanted to take food from some random fan. :lmao: But I knew it would have been ok. :sunny:
