I just wanted to say I thought this part of the park didn't belong also. I love the AK. I think it is a beautiful park. When they designed DinoLand did anyone look at the drawings. It's so tacky. Now don't get me wrong I enjoy the tacky icons at the value resorts but I found it out of place in AK. It looks like a cheesy carnival. Is this the look that they were going for? Even the kids found it out of place. Gina

Apart from it looking tacky, I find that area really ugly with all the concrete and garish colours, especially after the lushness of the rest of the park.

I agree completely Belle2003 ::yes::

It's awful. We checked it out on our last trip, and I can see Walt up in heaven shaking his genius head.

AK is such a beautiful park, what on earth they were thinking when they put in Dinorama, I don't know.:(

The rides are ok, but who wants to pay yet more money for typical boardwalk games. Just makes no sense there

I like it, even though I know a lot of people think it's stupid. Primeval Whirl is awesome! :teeth:

It's #1 on the list for our two kids. ::yes:: They love to do the games.... I swear we have at least 20 of those stuffed animals. ;)

Personally, I'm not crazy about it. Probably because of all the money I lose there. :rolleyes:

The rides were okay- the games and stuff well.......:rolleyes: We can go to our local state fair every summer, when we went to WDW we wanted to be in WALT DISNEY WORLD.... Ya know where everything is done the way it should be!!

My DD's 14, 13, 9 and 7 like the rides in Dino Land. Being from New Jersey, we can go to the shore to play those types of games. (I don't even think the girls noticed that there are games there, they never asked to play them!) If it weren't for the kids, we would skip that part of the park! :crazy:

It's certainly better than it was when they first opened Animal Kingdom. I thought it was just plain ugly then. But I don't like the the direction Disney is going with this kind of stuff, they are trying to be too real. Disney always tried to show things in a fantastical light... Kind of the way we imagine them to be, not the way they really are. Jungle Cruise is a prime example of this. ON the other hand, take the waiting line at Kali River Rapids where they have toy tricycles and other garbage strewn around like it would probably really look? It always feels so wrong to me. That's the kind of stuff I try to escape from when I go to Disney. They aren't props there either, they are still garbage.

My opinion.

Primeval Whirl was really boring. I remember reading posts about how thrilling it was, and how dizzy you could get. Not what I experienced, not even close.:rolleyes: ;)

We love this section! My 3 year old loves the dinosaur theme. He thinks the flying dinosaurs are the best thing in Disney. He prefers them over Dumbo. And my DH (kid at heart) can't get enough of Primevil Whirl. The games I thought were cheesy at first but where else in Disney can you get a stuffed animal for 2 bucks!!! Over all as a family we love it.
