Chessington world of adventures, Gullivers Kingdom and Oakwood theme parks......

Trying to plan a few days out over the summer with my tall and adventurous 3 year old! Would love to hear from anyone who has been to any of the above......the good, the bad and the ugly!
You guys were great for tips for Legoland and we had a brilliant day...so relying on you again!

I went to Chessington last year (after a break of nearly 6 years) and must say I was quite impressed. They seem to have done a lot of work and were still working on a new area that should be open by now. It was aimed more at families with children than it used to be and I had a really good day out with DD (aged 9).

I went to a Gullivers Kingdom (but I can't remember where - Peak District I think) in 1999 and was very disappointed. It was aimed for very small children and was quite shabby. But it might have improved over the years.

Not been to Oakwood.

Oakwood - it's been a few years since I was there, but youngest DD goes once most summers with her friends.

I remember it as being pretty tame and 'back-woodsy', but enjoyable for my girls when they were around the 6 - 12 mark. They have added several new rides over the years, however, which rank amongst the best in the UK in their category (or so I'm told ). But I don't suppose the headline rides are not going to be the ones suitable for your 3 year-old, however adventurous!

If you're in that part of the the country anyway, it would be a shame not to do it, and it would make a good day out, but I don't think I'd recommend travelling across the country especially to visit Oakwood (sorry, Oakwood ).
