Karen: she watched Dawn. Jordan: he looked at the picture 'what? Oh no. I had no idea. I'll come home as soon as school is over.' How had he not noticed! He got up to leave class but stopped hearing his name. Teacher: "Jordan" he waved him over to his desk. Jordan: he looked at him puzzled but walked over. Teacher: "let's go, hand it over. you know the rules" he held his hand out. Jordan: he looked down at his phone in his hand but closed his hand around it "I'll put it away. Please." Teacher "no, you can get it at the end of the day" his hand was still out. Jordan: "I'm sorry. I can't, I really can't." Teacher: "do I need to give your mother a call?" Jordan: "no!" Teacher: "then give me the phone Jordan." Jordan: he looked down "I can't" he said quietly. Teacher: "why? It's just a phone." Jordan: he spoke quietly "because one of my friends is suicidal and this phone is the only thing letting me know if I need to rush home to try and save him. It's taking everything for me to be here sir. I'm sorry." Teacher: he froze and lowered his hand onto his desk he could tell Jordan wasn't lying. "oh, okay. I'll notify your other teachers to let them know you can have it out." Jordan: "don't tell them why." Teacher: "I'll just say it's important. You can go." Jordan: "thank you, thank you sir." he walked into the hall his phone still in his hand.
