Today is our dining day and we got everything we wanted except for one. Chefs de France has no reservations at all for the whole week of Sept we are there. My mom will be joining us on this trip and it is her absolute favorite restaurant. I haven't seen anything that it is closed for refurbishment and I know this isn't a "must do" restaurant . Am I missing something?

Yeah that’s weird. We’ve been many times and never had trouble booking when the window opens. Possibly they may have not opened the reservations yet?

eta- The last day I can find any availability is Sept 6th. Strange. The days before that also have availability.

Thank you for checking! Ya that is what I saw too. Today is officially my 60 day so I am using the 60+10 rule. I’m thinking for some reason Chef’s doesn’t follow that. Thank you again for checking! I will look in a couple days to see if something opens up

Not weird. At least a few restaurants suffering from this. San Angel Inn, Rose & Crown, Garden Grill & Via Napoli are also in that boat with Chefs de France. From my trip I see 9/5 and 9/7 to at least 9/12 affected. Whispering Canyon was also affected but today it populated.

It does follow the 60+ 10. Lately there have been a lot of different restaurants that don’t seem to be opening up day by day. Instead there’s no availability then all of a sudden, all the missing days show up. Narcoossee’s is another one that it’s been happening at a lot. There’s no rhyme or reason to any of it.

Have you had any luck getting reservations yet? I just tried for our days in September and nothing came up a all. Thanks!

Personally I wonder if WDW does this deliberately so that there is always some availability closer in.

The 60+10 rule works well for people who plan at 60 days but if there is no chance of snagging a reservation at the popular restaurants I think people will not bother even looking.

It’s definitely their crap IT. No way they felt bad about people who can’t plan 60 days out and then made a list of places they would hold back all reservations on until random days closer in and updated their IT to reflect that. They’ve got themselves an IT bug.

I should already know the answer to this question, but the 60 + 10 rule means 60 days out from date of arrival and for 10 days out, is this correct? It doesn't mean 60+10 = 70 days out from your arrival date. I'm getting confused. Thanks in advance. :flower1:

Keep trying! I check in on Sept. first and have been looking everyday since my 60 day mark to snag a reservation. I checked this morning and - voila! So happy I’ve been checking every day for almost 2 weeks. Best of luck!

Huzzah!! Everything I was waiting for in early/mid Sept dropped today- Via Napoli, San Angel Inn & Chefs de France. Wide open availability at all.

You’re right - at 60 days from checkin you can book for length of stay, up to 10 days.

Has anyone here been able to get a R&C fireworks package for mid-September?
I’ve been stalking for over a week now and don’t see anything.
Looking at 9/9 in particular.
Tia!
