Chefs de France

OK - You guys are really scaring me! :scared1: DD wants to eat there for dinner on her 13th b-day. She is taking French in school which is why she wants to eat her b-day dinner there. Now I do not know what to do...........
Just do it. ;) There isn't a restaurant around which doesn't have bad days or fails to impress some of its patrons. Even V & A has its detractors. For example, one of the restaurants often mentioned as a must-do is Citrico's, and I've had nothing but poor experiences there, so likely will never try them again. That doesn't mean I'm more correct than anyone else, just that it's not a place where I've received good food or service. Most of all, you won't know whether Chefs will be the right choice unless you actually go, and given that your daughter wishes to have her birthday dinner there, it would be my first choice. And she can try out her French language skills on the servers--I'm sure they'd enjoy that sort of interaction. In short, go, eat, enjoy! :thumbsup2

My DW and I had lunch at Chefs de France when we were there in January. We had been avoiding the place for several years after being quite displeased with both the food and service for dinner several visits ago. We had a wonderful lunch from the Prix Fixe menu, after being almost immediately seated when we got there for our ressie time. We also had a surprise visitor! Can't wait to take the grandchildren who eat more adventurously than we expected.
