Chefs De France Lunch Question

Hi,
So after reading plenty of similar reviews of how terrible dinner can be at Chefs I changed my reservation to lunch instead ( I would have just canceled in lieu of another restaurant but DBF's sisters picked this restaurant and it is their first trip.)
I read that lunch is much better...so here is my question. Are the deserts served with lunch the same as the tasteless dinner deserts? I am a desert lover and reading that the creme brulee is tasteless is disappointing:sad2:Is it just as tasteless at lunch as it is at dinner? Thanks in advance:cutie:

I'm not a creme brulee fan, so I can't speak to that dessert specifically, but if the dessert options are the same at both meals (for example, the Profiteroles are available on both menus), then they will/should taste the same regardless of the meal.

I've had the profiteroles (lunch and dinner), sorbets (dinner), apple crepe (lunch), and gateau au chocolat (dinner) last year and they were all yummy. I'd say, go with an open mind and try the desserts because the ones I had were all really good.

Thanks I try not to read too deeply into the reviews but it just seemed like alot of ppl saying the same thing about the creme brulee. I'm glad to hear that you like the other deserts and it gives me hope lol!

I believe you can get the same creme brulee at the pastry shop in France, if you want to try it and pay about half of what you would pay at Chefs de France. Of course, that would apply if you are paying OOP for your meal...if you are using a DDP credit then dessert is included with your meal at the TS restaurant where you dine.

That said...we had lunch at Chefs de France in July. We didn't have dessert there, but the lunch food was fantastic. I had the quiche, DH had the chicken crepe entree. Both were amazing! I loved that they gave us hot, fresh baguette at the beginning of the meal. It reminded me of when I was in France! The baguette was just as good as the one I remember having in France years ago. We'll definitely be back there on our next trip!

Thanks for the info! The chicken crepes sound yummy:goodvibesWe do have the DP so our deserts will be included.
