Chef Mickey's

We recently ate at Chef Mickey's for dinner. Although I have read countless times about how wonderful Chef Mickey's is, we didn't enjoy it at all. Our kids aren't so so young (10 & 14), and we found it too be way too juvenile. The restaurant itself was incredibly tacky and dirty, in our opinion. The food selections weren't numerous at all. Even though our PS was for a later time (8:30), shouldn't the restaurant still have had all food selections available? We also thought the characters weren't even friendly. When they saw that our kids weren't 2 and 3 years old they basically just bypassed us almost every time. 3 out of the 4 of us felt sick after having our Chef Mickey's meal. We enjoyed our meals at other character places, particularly Liberty Tree Tavern, much more. Does anyone else dislike Chef Mickey's?

Ive never had dinner at Chef Mickeys, only breakfast(which, BTW, we love ) so I cant fairly answer your question, but I did want to welcome you to the Dis, mrg013.
Im sorry you had such a bad experience at CMs. Hopefully you had some better meals during your trip.

Sorry you experience was so bad. We have eaten there and loved it. We also coundn't get a PS until later, but there was still lots of food. We even asked our server to bring a pineapple for desert because we wanted something other than the sweets on the dessert table. She brought out a lovely cut up pineapple. It was awesome. We are planning to go back in June.

I'm sorry you had such a disapointing meal! We went for dinner in May of 03 and had a great meal. We had a 5:00pm PS and they were bringing the food out to the buffet as we were waiting in line. We plan on going back in March for the same meal at the same time. That's too bad, especially given the cost of the meal.
