We went to Chef Mickey's for dinner last month and we loved it. I was nervous about eating dinner there because of all the negative reports about it. But, we all enjoyed it. We were a party of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids), and everyone enjoyed their food. Remember to always take negative reviews (or positive ones, for that matter) with a grain of salt. There was a guy behind me in the buffet line at Chef Mickey's who asked me if I knew if there were french fries on the buffet. There weren't (this was my second time up at the buffet, and I checked all the areas in the beginning to see all that they had and what I wanted). When I told him I didn't see any fries on the buffet, he said "this is the owrst Disney restaurant...how does a restaurant not serve fries?" I could just picture this guy writing a review of Chef Mickey's here on the DIS. Would read something like..."The food was inedible and there was nothing there for me to eat."
So, as I said, while it's good to value others' opinions, always make your own decision and take comments and reviews with a grain of salt.
