Chef Mickey's or Hollywood and Vine?

Our third day, I have a breakfast ressie at CM at 8:15. We're spending the day at DHS, though, and I clearly didn't plan that well since they have morning EMH there that day. Should I try to switch us so that we can eat in park? I've never heard good things and H&V, but that could've changed since we haven't been there in almost two years. We're a large party (7) with three kids, aged four, two, and 8 mos for Oct. 25. Any recommendations as to whether to keep that res or try to change it?

We had both breakfasts last time we where in the World. H&V is ok. The interaction with the characters is great for the kids. My DS3 is a big Jo Jo and Goliath fan. The food was ok I guess. I don't really remember the food. I just remeber the looks on my sons face when he saw JoJo. If you have only one shot at Chef Mickey's for breakfast then keep it. If you have more than one chance H&V was a good time for us.

We have done breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickey's. We found the selection great and the character interaction wonderful too. H & V - only been there for dinner and ICK is all I can say. The service is horrible as well. Breakfast may be a whole different crew there and depending on your kids interest in characters it may be a better choice for you.

When are you going? Is this the only DHS day? If so, you might not be able to ride TSM as i hear you need to get FP early and if it is EMH then all that many more people will be there.

If TSM is not a big deal, then stick with Chef Mickeys, It is truly hard to get that switched to another day as it is one of the more popular places (besides CRT ) Either way, you may miss something but if it is low season, then you might be able to get a FP for TSM if you get there before 11am.

We do lunch at H&V every time we go to WDW (2x a yr) and LOVE it!! My 6 yr old requests it every time! If you're going to be at DHS that day and with the size of your party, I would do either B or L at H&V if I were you. CM is great but it is worth the trouble of traveling from park to park? I guess that's for you to decide but I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoy H&V.
BTW....since the buffet is plentiful and with lots of variety, there's always something someone likes to eat (they have a children buffet in addition to the adults and a GREAT dessert section!). HTH.

We usually do H&V for dinner and the Fantasmic Package, however, next year I am planning ADR at H&V for breakfast. I am taking my niece and her two children so I want to do the character meal. I am not certain whether to do 50s for dinner (no Fantasmic Package) or Mama Melrose's. I'd do Brown Derby but I don't want to waste 2 TS credits for dinner there.

Sorry, I had to actually work for a bit, sigh. Getting in the way of my trip refining! We're going for a whirlwind trip oct 22-26. That's our only DHS day, we're going to MK 10/23 (with MNSSHP), Epcot 10/24, DHS 10/25, and will spend the morning somewhere 10/26 before we leave, presumably back at MK. I figured we'd probably not be able to get on TSM, though my kids have never seen the movie, so I'm guessing that if it has to wait until next time, it's not a HUGE deal.

Traveling isn't a huge deal, we'll be driving from park to park.

Thanks for all the opinions, I think unless I hear anything else, we'll stay with CM.
