I am trying to decide between these two, please help. Is one better then the other? Anyone dined at both? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

We have done Chef Mickey's many times. We are trying Cape May Cafe for the first time this year with friends--we understand the character interaction is better. Beware that Cape May Cafe does not have Mickey Mouse.

We ate at both Chef Mickey's & Cape May Cafe this past Sept. We LOVED Chef Mickey's: food & service was very good, great atmosphere, & excellent character interaction. This quickly became one of our most favorite places & have it scheduled for this Sept. Cape May was good, but it didn't overly impress us. IMO, the buffet at Cape May was somewhat small & limited compared to Chef Mickey's. The character interaction at Cape May was excellent & the service was also very good. We would eat at Cape May again, but it is not a "must do" for us and therefore, we did not schedule it for this year's trip. Although we think Chef Mickey's is better, I don't think you would be disappointed with either Chef Mickey's or Cape May Cafe.

We've been to both, and my advice is to choose the one that best aligns with your plans for the day -- if you're headed to MK, eat at Chef Mickey's. If you're going to Epcot, eat at Cape May.

You don't say if you've been to WDW before, but I would guess that the biggest mistake people make overall is underestimating the time and effort it takes to travel around and across the resort. Everything is possible, but it can take an hour to, say, get from BC where Cape May is located over to the MK -- and I don't think that's time you'd want to waste when you're talking about such minor differences between the two breakfast experiences.

IMHO.

We've eaten at both and they are both great buffets :thumbsup2. If I could choose only one, I would probably go with Cape May, although it would be a tough choice since they both have excellent food and the character interaction is fun at both, as well :cool1: :cool1:.

I have been to both - the Cape May buffett does have more food selections on it than Chef Mickey's. We like Cape May since it's a bit quieter and laidback. Our last experience at Chef Mickey's was not the best - we had my nephew with us for his 5th Birthday and Mickey just walked by the waitress did nothing and the handlers had no answer to why Mickey skipped 3 tables. So we won't back anytime soon.

Have a great time whichever you choose.

Have not eaten at Chef Mickeys but Cape May is our 2nd favorite breakfast (Boma is #1). I have a ton of pics and review from our trip last month in my signature
