Chef Mickey's - breakfast or dinner?

Hi. I just booked a trip for August and would like to plan a breakfast or dinner at Chef Mickey's for the 6 of us. We have never been there before.

Which do you prefer and why?

Are you able to book 180 days out or is this reservation to be made 90 days out?

Both are great. Been here many of times for both meals but if I had to pick one it would be dinner. Love this place .

We've done both and much prefer breakfast over dinner. Not much you can do to ruin breakfast food in our opinion and the last two times we ate dinner there it was only fair at best.

Personally, I would choose breakfast.

I love their breakfast buffet (I also enjoy the dinner one as well) and the characters seem to interact more during breakfast (this is just our observation- there may be no truth in it at all- just what we've witnessed.. ). Also, having breakfast at CM feels so very Disney- it's a great way to start your Disney Day!

However, no matter what you choose, you cannot go wrong. But, I vote breakfast!

My family and I have been there for dinner a few times and thought the food was ok and we found nothing wrong with it.

We did dinner once and the food was horrible but the characters were great. DH wants to try breakfast and see what the hype is about so we will be there next month

My understanding is that for August you can only book 90 days out. If you are making a CM ressie for June 19? or earlier then the 180 day window applies.

We always book CM for breakfast at the latest possible time (around 11:20 am) and treat it as lunch, eating something small in our room for breakfast. We go to the MK in the morning, then walk to the Contemporary and have a nice break in the A/C, drinking as much as we want (since it's all included) and enjoying a big lunch. This way we also take advantage of the light crowds in the morning and are quite hungry when it's time to eat!

By the way, we did try the dinner buffet once -- it was fine (not great, not bad) but I do think that the breakfast food is quite a bit better.

Thanks for the clarification regarding the booking date.

I had not thought about a late breakfast. What a great idea! It would allow us to still be at the park at rope drop. Plus, my kids are better breakfast eaters.

I think I will book breakfast for this upcoming trip and dinner for our next trip.
