Chef Mickey's ADR - Can we make it?

Sorry, I have an annoying question for the Dis experts.

We will be heading to AK morning EMH on our check-out day from AKL. We will be checking into BLT later that day and heading over to MK for the late afternoon, early evening.

We only plan on hitting just a few attractions at AK and then heading over to try to check-in. I just grabbed a Chef Mickey reservation for 11:40 thinking that would be a nice mid-day ADR.

We have a car, so what time do you suggest leaving AK? I know they say plan for 90 minutes on Disney transportation but I'm not sure about driving. I was hoping to see the 10 a.m. FOTLK show but I think that would be cutting it really close!

Thoughts?

Too close. That ADR would not be in our agenda if we had EMH planned at AK. Push it to 12:30. No stress or rushing.

I agree. Even with a car you are cutting it pretty close. It takes a good 15/20 min to travel from AK to MK area and I think the 90 min thing bakes in time waiting at the bus stop. Plus parking etc. If you can't get to BLT by 11:15, or think you won't, I'd either leave AK earlier than you planned or try to go to CM a little later.

Thanks! I will keep trying for a later CM, or we will leave AK before 10. Or we will just cancel the ADR.

Since you are going to be at AK that morning why not try and get an ADR for Tusker House? It still has some great characters with Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey; the theme and decor of the restaurant is very nice and the food is far superior than the institutional slop at Chef Mickey. Afterwards just head over to BLT check in and enjoy the late afternoon at the MK. :goodvibes

Good suggestion, but DH has said he does not want to eat anywhere that we ate at during our last trip. And the past two we've eaten at Tusker House. I would be good with doing it again but he says he needs variety, lol! Plus, our daughter was two when we last did CM and now is six so she would actually remember it this time.
