Looking for recommendations from fellow dis'rs. DD and I (age 9) are arriving on 10/30. Should reach hotel (Port Orleans Riverside) about 4:30. Currently have ADR's for Chef M's at 9:00. Worried that's a bit late. It appears that there may be openings at 1900 Park Fare and/or Wolfgang Pucks Cafe (I was thinking it might be nice to go on the boat from POR to DTD anyway)

Also, We are on the Disney Dining Plan and have ADR's the following evening at Liberty Tree Tavern.

Any one have recommendations as to which of the three is better? Don't necessarily need a character meal, so other thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey you got to go to 1900 Park Fare For Dinner your daughter will love it! I know I did I am 34yrs old and my son is 2 and we enjoyed it,now if she is not into the princesses and is at the age where she is trying to be a big girl, somewhere like Coral Reef,Sci Fi, or if you want to go to DTD Planet Hollywood is a cool place it has funky stuff and videos playing it is not a place for fine dinning but a good time the food is in no way bad and if you have the magic your way package you should have a 15 voucher it would be perfect to use,Good Luck where ever you go you will have a great time! Hey you guys are at WDW:banana: Oh you are on the dinner plan, sorry I would not use a TS credit at Planet Hollywood I paid out of pocket when I went for lunch I got a turkey club and smoothie I ended up paying 3 dollars OOP, I could not use a TS credit there not when I could eat somewhere like LeCelliar,so let me give you some other
suggestions Ohana would be great and you guys could watch the fireworks from the beach, but if you must eat in DTD I would try Wolfgang Puck or if you want to save that TS credit for another day and just do some shopping you could use a CS credit at Wolfgang Express is is VERY close to a Table Service and the food is great!

We love Chef Mickey's but 9 may be a bit too late for you all. We haven't been to Wolfgang's so I don't know if the food is good or not, but I know you will enjoy the boat ride from POR to DTD. We recently stayed at the POFQ and took the boat from there. Nice leisure ride and a nice change from the buses. Enjoy your trip!

We just returned from a Sept 11-17 trip and we ate at both restaurants. You won't be disappointed in either. Maybe you should decide based on what characters you and your DD would rather see. I have to say the step sisters and crew are hilarious at 1900-and you don't see them out and about in the parks that much. The dessert bar there is really good-the bread pudding with warm vanilla sauce is outstanding! Chef Mickey's is fun, too, and the food there is good. Perhaps you'd get the chance to see Mickey & friends out and about in the parks or in Toontown? Either way, you'll be pleased, and both hotels are great to walk around and shop in. 9 is a bit late for dinner for me-maybe you could move it up a bit in case you're planning on getting an early start the next morning. Have a great time-I miss it already! If you have a chance, try Kona Cafe for breakfast-one of the best meals we've ever had.

I would be hesitant to eat at Chef Mickey's that late on your arrival day. I would be afraid of "grumpiness" the next day from being out so late the night before.

We stayed at PO-R and we ate Boatwrights and took the boat to DTD. It was a great way to start off the vacation without being out so late. We were able to get our kids in bed at a decent hour so they were well rested to start the first full day at Disney. They really liked the boat ride and loved walking around DTD. I wouldn't use a TS credit for Boatwrights again, but would have loved to eat at Rainforest Cafe instead. You will have to pay out of pocket, but the place is so neat. It is located at the end of the boat ramp so it is easy to access from the boat.

That being said....if you can't get into Chef Mickey's on another day, then I would go for it. Not doing Chef Mickey's wouldn't be an option - we would make the sacrifice to do it if there were no other times available.
