Were eating at Chef de France for the first time in Sept. We've wanted to eat there for awhile but haven't done so yet. Since I can't get a few of the others I wanted for that night, I settled on CdF.

So, for those that have been, what did you have and how was it? What's not to be missed and also what should be skipped.

Here's some info about our party. Me, DM. I like meat, chicken, seafood, and pasta. Wont' eat veal or liver-:scared1: . Don't care for wine, or mushrooms (unless well done). I'll eat most vegetables but not anything really weird. My DM. Same food likes but loves wine and mushrooms. DD8-good eater, loves fruits and veggies. And of course, loves chicken strips. Likes pastas. Just starting to eat chocolate.

So, your thoughts (pix would be great too!) TIA.

I have had the french menu at lunch and loved it - I would assume the dinner french menu is pretty darn good, too.

I've had the cheese plate at dinner - it's very good, if you like cheeses. Their french onion soup is VERY good.

I had the seared rare tuna at dinner and it was delicious. DH had the vegetarian lasagna and really liked it.

Their creme brulee is tasty (that's all I ever get).

DH and I went in April, we had originally planned on Y&Y but cancelled at the last minute and got right into Chefs. It was amazing!

DH and I shared the french onion soup, salad and the bacon onion and cream flatbread that was to die for. I had the roasted chicken and DH had the mac and cheese, again both were awesome.

I have a ton of pics and a full review in my signature link (March/April trip)

Thanks everyone! Looks like we'll have a wonderful meal. Thanks MickeyNicki for the wonderful review and wonderful pix. :goodvibes That mac 'n cheese looks really good! I'm going to read all of your reviews-can't do it right now though-it's the 4th and time to spend time with family. :goodvibes

Happy 4th to all my Fellow Americans!

We've eaten there several times and have always received excellent service and good food. We've had: onion soup, escargot, cheese plate, and assortement of French pates and charcuteries for appetizers. We've had the ham and cheese sandwich, scallops and tiger shrimp, grilled salmon, and duck for entrees, and for desserts we've had blueberry/raspberry clafoutis, chocolate tart with banana and coconut, creme brulee, and profiterolles for desserts. The best thing I've had there are the French pates and charcuteries, duck, and clafoutis.:cloud9: That is probably what I am going to order when we go back in September.:goodvibes

Probably just a month ago I ordered the mac and cheese. I would probably order something different.
I had eaten there before, and whether it be a different chef, recipe, whatever, it was not as good as it had been.
Wasn't bad. Just wasn't nearly as good as it once was. Or maybe because what I had at Tutto's just knocked it out of the water. ;)

Thanks all. :goodvibes MickeyNicki I finished reading your last 2 TR-great job and wonderful pix. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 It really made me hungry and wishing we had more days to eat more meals! :rotfl2:
