I just bought a new stoller and it doesn't like to stay together when I fold it so i'm worried it will come apart when I gate check it. So just wondering on some ideas that I could use tokeep it together . I saw a stroller bag but I can't seem to find one in any stores

I you really like your stroller, I would look online to find a stroller bag. Gate checked strollers are treated some what better than baggage, but still it is not with the same care that you might use. DH worked for an airline for many years including supervising gates on the ramp level, he insisted that we use a stroller bag after seeing how some agents load gate checked items.

A stroller bag is defintely the safest for your stroller, but you can also use a bungee to keep it folded up.

My front tires used to fall off at random. I was worried that they'd come undone and get lost so I removed them when we gate checked this time and buckled them securely into the harness. :thumbsup2

What kind of stroller?

Last time I flew with my citi mini it must have come open because it was open when we got off the plane. Duct tape?

Oh and I asked what kind of stroller because I have never been able to find a stroller bag for the citi mini.

The city mini does have a travel bag. I got mine on amazon. It's a padded bag and you need to take the wheels off to pack it up. The bag is made by baby jogger so it fits it perfectly.

You could also use a luggage strap to keep it together. They are easy to find and inexpensive.

We use a large, clear plastic bag. It's about 4-5 feet tall so maybe like a leaf collection bag. My mom gets them from work so I don't know exactly where to buy them. However, we have flown 4 times and gate checked our stroller this way every time. Just put it in the bag at the gate, zip tie the top, and hand it over. We have had no problems..not even a hole in the bag, but it is pretty thick plastic.

Sounds lilke a contractor's bag and yeah, that plastic is super sturdy!

I'd bungee it shut and toss it in a heavy plastic bag OR a cheap duffle if you can't find a stroller bag.
