Hi,

Has anyone tried to check for cruise pricing on the new DU web site? When I check for pricing for party of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) CAT 9, 7 days western caribbean, sailing Dec 02 I got a price of over $4000. Is this correct? This price seems too high to me. Thanks.

Never been on a 7 day, but for comparision purposes.

The 4 day trip on Easter week for 4, 2 adults and 2 children, (7&10) is approx $3500 without air, hotel, or transfers. No sure what ages your children are.

If you are just booking now for 02, and you did not mention the day in Dec, I would think that is a good price. I suggest that you check the Christmas date for comparision.

Any other comments from the rest?

Hi firsttimeever! Did you submit a quote request? You said you checked on the website but the only cruise pricing you can check directly is for non-Disney cruises on the Dreams site.

It depends on the ages of the kids (teens are more than those under age 12) but if that pricing is for ONE stateroom then it does not seem right...I'm getting $3640.08 for two adults, two kids 8 and 5 for the 12/7 sailing, in a Cat. 9 with no air, transfers or insurance, and not including the Dreams rebate. If you have questions about a quote you received please contact webmaster@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com for assistance and they will be happy to help. :)

Hi WebmasterMichelle,

On the website you can also check pricing for Disney Cruise Line. The quote I got is for 1 room, 2 adults and 2 kids (5 and 8) CAT 9. I confirmed this quote with Cathy at DU.

On the DU website, there is a link to passengers travelling with children - by clicking there you will see the following notice:

Our online booking system does not intially quote the price for a child as a third or forth passenger. The price for children is not reflected until after specific information on each passenger is entered. This is done after you enter credit card information BUT BEFORE you are committed to putting a deposit on your cruise. At the end of the process, you will see a final quote before having to decide whether you wish to purchase that cruise.

Could it be that the price you saw quoted was for 4 adults, and did not reflect the children's price?

Or, those early booking savings are disappearing as the ship is getting booked for that date...

Okay, I see where you did that, firsttimeever, but as Kendall says that quotes there may have issues with the children's pricing. If you submit the online reservation form through Dreams you should get the exact same amount as quoted by Disney, plus the Dreams rebate. As I said above, I got $3640.08 for a Cat. 9 on the 12/7 cruise (not including the rebate) without air, insurance or transfers and with the party configuration you have.

If you have a Dreams quote reservation number please do e-mail webmaster@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and I will have it verified for you. :)
