Of lall the 18 times I have been to DW, I have never arrived before check in time. Next week our plane lands at 10am so we wil arrive way before check in. What should we do? We will have Magic Express so I am not worried about luggage. I figure we will just turn around and hop on a bus for DTD for a little while, have lunch and whatnot. But should we go to the desk and just tell them we are here anyway? And then would we have to go back and check in for real after that?

Thanks in advance!

Definitely check in. We've done it many times. You might luck out that your room is ready but even if it's not, you can get your park passes, drop off your carry on luggage to bell service and head off to the parks. If you were not planning on going to the parks you can use the resort pool. There are changing rooms near the pools.

If your room is not ready you just need to check back and have the room access added to your keys and get your room number.

I was just wondering the same thing...... We will get there on sat at 10 AM.

So what do they do with your bags? Just hold them behind the counter?

We always arrive at about that time.
Sometimes we get our room sometimes not.

They will take your Carry-ons at bell services and store them until later or you can take and put them in a locker at the park as well.

Thanks for asking this:thumbsup2 -I was wondering too. This will be early arrival (1pm) for us too.

What about REALLY EARLY check in? We are renting points at SSR and linking the stay with a few nights (before) at the Hilton by DTD. To keep with our TGM park schedule, I'd (ideally) like to check out of the Hilton around 7am and immediately check-in to SSR around 7:30 - 8am. Does anyone see an issue with this? I understand that SSR would have to store our bags. We'd probably be back to SSR around 8pm. Any advice?

We have been really lucky that our room has always been ready not matter what time we checked in. We always check in right away (ME worries about the bags!) and start our park hopping asap.

We usually arrived before check-in time and all but one time our room was ready.... last fall was the first time it wasn't, but bell services held our luggage for us and we were given a card by the CM @ check-in with a phone # to call after 3pm for our room assignment (we were already issued our keys to the world w/ the DDP and park hoppers on them that would also be used as the room key once our room was ready).... so at 3, I called from my cellphone and got our room # and then when we went to the room, we called bell services @ the YC and they brought our luggage up within 10 minutes :thumbsup2

The 2 times I arrived before check in time, one time the room was ready the second it was not, but we checked in, left our stuff, went to the park and they called us when the room was ready.

We almost always seem to arrive before posted check in time. Our room is ready about 50% of the time, even if it is morning. ME baggage will be delivered when your room is ready and as others have said you can drop off your carry-ons with bell/luggage service. You may even have shorter check in lines at the earlier times so you can get the paperwork over with. Then all you need to do is find out when the room is ready - they will give you a number to call.
