Hi there,

I’m looking for some advice please.

The family is headed to WDW for a 10 night stint at AKV Jambo in a few weeks. :goodvibes

We have made a special request to be on the Zebra trail / we have a Savannah view. :thumbsup2

We have rented points from a DVC member.

I have the confirmation info./letter etc. etc.

1. Can we (since we're renting points) pre-check in online? Or is there personal info. needed that only the DVC member has during the check in process & therefore it's not possible/too much of a hassle?

2. If we in fact can check in online as point renters ... Are there any advantages to checking in online? For example are we more likely to get our resi 'special' requests if we check in online? In other words - are we at the front of the line as a result? NOTE: the day of our arrival we will be at WDW at about 2pm ... I have heard the earlier you get to your hotel the better in terms of insuring special requests. :cool1:

3. Are there any disadvantages to checking in online?

If those that know can please pass on their wisdom/experience with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Zebsterama

Your best source of info should be the member that you rented from, but I will try to help.

As a renter you can check in online. The only advantage is that maybe you won't have to stand in a longer line if there is one.

If you wish, you can use online check in to give Disney the CC that you would like to use for room charges.

All requests should be made to the member and they have to pass them on to MS.

In addition to what Bill has posted, if you are doing one of the dining plans and enter a CC# during on-line check-in, that CC will be charged for the full amount of the dining plan on the day you check-in.
