Hey guys! I need some help!

We just booked our flight out to Maui from LAX, yeah!! But first, we are going to Disneyland for a few days. We REALLY REALLY REALLY need to be able to check-in for our flight 24 hours in advance (we couldn't get seats together and don't want to spend 6 hours spread out across the plane).:thumbsup2

Anyway, we are staying at the Anaheim Desert Inn. Will they be able to print our boarding passes / check us in there? Or is there someplace nearby where we can go and do this?

Like I said, it's REALLY important and I'm a worrier! :scared1: Can anyone reassure me? Thanks a lot! ;)

you dont HAVE to check in online. usually checking in online allows you to skip the long lines at the airport and takes you straight to the security checkpoint. the downside in check-in is that everything is carry on. no checkin bags. If you get spread out, just trade with other people, they are usually nice enough to trade.

you might need to call the hotel and ask if they have a business center.

Ramada Maingate has a computer center which I beleive is open to anyone willing to pay the fee. I don't know how much that is though. I would guess many hotels have a public computer, especailly chain hotels these days.

Even with early check-in, I've never had success getting better seats that way. And, Albort is incorrect. Checking in online does not doom you to carry on only. There are lines at the airport that are just for checking luggage for passengers that already have boarding passes and you can still use curbside checkin. Just tell them you already have passes.

Best luck for changing is usually at the gate or speaking with a flight attendant and letting them help you.

Each airline is a little different.

I called Aloha once and they released
a group of seats that showed online as being taken already,
I think they realize it makes for a much better
flight when families are not spread out in the plane.

I have used the Ramada Maingate cyber cafe (not the real name of it) and it cost about 2-4 dollars. They also sell Disney tickets and tickets to other CA attractions. I checked in with Airtran and changed my seat. The connection seemed really slow, but the girl working their was really nice and didn't charge me the full time I was on their because it was so slow. She said it wasn't normally this slow.

You could also check the front desk of your hotel.

Not to hijack this thread but please explain to me the advantages/disadvantages of online check-in. We have only flown once in recent years and we just got to the airport two hours ahead of time.

Some airlines don't assign seats until checkin, so it let's me change my seat if I want aisle or Window vs getting stuck in the middle

Southwest, for example, gives you a group letter when you check-in. If you do it 24 hours before you can get the best letter, A, and board first. This helps you be able to actually sit together or get the type of seats you want.

When I travel, I often take my dog with me these days, and online check-in is not allowed. Otherwise, I'd use it. It's usally a shorter line because you don't need someone to type in your seat request and such.

We are flying on ATA and are in the very back of the plane. Two of our three travelers get VERY motion sick and sitting in the back of the plane would be a really bad idea. Plus, we don't want to be separated for a 5 1/2 hour flight!

When I talked to the ATA agent, she assured me that as long as I check-in exactly 24 hours in advance, that they release the front half of the plane to those people. She basically guaranteed us that we would be able to move up and stay together. Anyone flown ATA and know for sure? :confused3

Thanks for any help! :goodvibes
