Checking Back on "Sold Out" AAA Rates?

Any point in this? I suppose people do cancel. Does AAA open them back up?

There definetly is The past couple of years, we've wanted to add a couple of days to our existing AAA reservation - at first we weren't able to get a AAA rate on those add. days but after calling back several times we were able to - I'm assuming because of cancellations. Also calling exactly 45 days out from when you need the room is a good time if you can because with AAA there's no penalty if you cancel 45 days out so some will wait til then to cancel. Keep checking right on up to the last min., - I bet something will open

Yes!!! I needed to book a few days after my cruise and nothing at the values was open for a standard AAA room. I could only get preferred at Sports and I really didn't want to stay there. I checked back a few weeks later and had my choice of all 4 valueresorts and booked Music. Same thing happened with my precruise dates..they could only offer me Pop and Movies for AAA when I originally called. I had called just to get the price at that time. When I called back, they had Pop, Movies, or preferred at Music. I took Pop since I've never stayed there before. So yes, availability for AAA rates does change.
