Our upcoming flight to Florida on Southwest in March DROPPED $55 each since I last checked yesterday afternoon! yooHOO! :cool1:

Ours went up $35/ticket. Makes me feel better about having bought them when they first came out.

Just curious, for those that your flights went down, what day of the week are you flying? I keep checking my Saturday flights and they haven't moved. When I look at Tues/Wed. they drop those flights, but only by $8.

I check mine once or twice a week and they've gone up over $150 since I bought mine on the first day the flights were available. Will keep checking, but not holding out much hope for any credits this time.

I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question but do they adjust your price, refund money if you have already booked and it goes down?

If you rebook, they will give you a credit for the difference to use towards a future flight. If you use RR points, they credit you back the points.

Both of mine are up... I don't think I'll get them cheaper than the $98 per flight that I booked them at.

We are flying out on a Tuesday. All the flights on that day dropped by $55. I captured the savings, actually I had paid using SW points so they were returned to my account.

I check twice a day for price drops. Interestingly enough, the price stayed down for 2 days then went back up $55. Our return flight has stayed the same price since we purchased it. This is the reason I book one way tickets ... so if/when the price drops I can take advantage of that. It would be just my luck to have one direction drop in price but the other go up in price...

Still waiting to see prices for last week of August :scared1: Depending on how those look will determine if I drive for 15 hours or fly for 6. So this is encouraging. :)

@ BrerMama . . . We are also celebrating grandson's hishschool graduation:banana:: June 22 - July 3. Our tickets went from $134.00 to $164.00 this week!! We haven't booked yet. I sure hope they go back down. I was told that the best time to buy tickets is 45 days out. I think that is tooo close for comfort:confused3

Just checked our flight: flying out on a Tuesday went up $40 and returning went up $55 also on a Tuesday. So thankful we booked earlier at $90 each way :banana::banana:

Complaining yesterday  Happy today!!! Prices went from $164 to $134today. BDL to MCO I am not waiting any longer . . . Can't wait for June!!! How do I get rid of that old ticker an the bottom of my page?

I paid for our flights using RR points. How do I go about getting a credit?

Thanks!

Its easy.

Go to Southwest.com.

there's a bar across the top ..says special offers/air/hotel/car/vacations/travelguide....

~click on~ ~ air ~
a box appears, look on the left at the 11th option going down

~click on ~ change reservation
enter your reservation number and name and

click continue

check the box next to the flight that has dropped in price and

click continue
another box might pop up showing exactly which flight you are working on...

click continue
fill in date/time of desired new flight OR go with the filled in info if you want the same flight but lower price...

click ~select new flight~
That brings you to a very familiar page, you simply choose which flight you want just as you do when outright purchasing a flight ..... select a flight and

click continue
The next page shows you exactly what the new flight will cost. If there's been a price drop your cost will show up as a ~negative~ and if you paid with points those points will be deposited back into the account they originated from.

click on"I accept the fare rules and want to continue with this purchase" ... continue

To be very clear ... up to this point NOTHING has changed. Keep on clicking from this point onward and you will soon get to the end and '"purchase" the new flight with a lower cost. Its very easy, if you've followed the steps above this far you're nearly to the end of the process. Good luck!

Thank you so much for for the awesome directions! It was really easy!

I just got 8,600 points credited back to our account:goodvibes.

Thank you again!

Thank you to everyone that posted about this!!! I was just able to get a $45 pp credit on our flight down!! Return flight is holding at my booked price. This opens the door to perhaps another trip this year or a cheap flight to VEGAS!! :cool1: :thumbsup2 :)

One more quick question, is there a limit to how many times you can rebook your flight? Just wondering if our fares drop again, if we can take advantage more than once.
