I totally agree with you, this "great news" really didn't do anything! Anyone that was going in Sept. already had some great rates frome either postcards,emails or codes already out there, I know with the new codes today you may have saved a couple bucks but how about the rest of us that plan on Oct-Dec? Heck most of our ressies are still at rack rates! Disney........how about giving us a break!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, that's exactly the way it worked last year. The September rates came out and then about 4 weeks later (August 28th last year) the remainder of the year came out. They are probably doing that again this year.

There were no September AP rates last year.

I saved $10/night on my AKL reservation ... so now it's $109/night I figure that money saved over 7 nights will be good for a nice dinner somewhere or more souveniers! *lol*

Well, I'm not real happy to see another flat $ discount as I'm looking to book Poly LVC but the $90 off is a bit better than the last AP round of $85 so maybe Oct's regular season will be a bit better than the $115 given most recently. Right now I've got a AAA discount which is only $52.50/night. Hoping something better comes along real soon!

BTW...I got hooked on Poly LVC when I got a room only (NOT AP) discount in Oct 2002 of nearly 45%!

I cannot believe they finally release a Fl resident rate and it is only for Sept!!! Does this mean no discounts in Oct, I hope not.

I am happy something finally came out for the last few days of August! We were booked at CSR for the entire 12 days of our trip because there were no codes in sight beyond August 26th. Today we were able to shorten our stay at CSR and split it with AKL for the second half of the trip, at $109, standard view. DH made the call and he said while the CM was friendly she was also a stickler. She emphasized the need to have an activated annual pass IN HAND at the time of check-in or they will send you to a park to activate it before checking you in. She said to also make sure to make all PS now because Labor Day weekend is expected to be very busy. I already made the PS so I'm not worried about that.

I am still hoping for AP rates for October for our MNSSHP long-weekend, however!!.

I have been making my sister's ressies for YEARS now and when the AP discounts become available, I have always just asked the CM to "please appy the AP discount". Never had any problem. This was the FIRST time that a CM has asked, even though I asked for the Sept AP discount, for the actual code! Yes, they have asked for codes when other discounts become available, but never for the APs. Anyone else run into that this morning??

deadheadbelle, you are correct. Only Florida Resident rates came out for September. Then it was August 28th for the Oct-Dec rates. (both AP & FLA)

I didn't realize there were Florida Resident rates for September last year.

We changed our 5+2 at the Polynesian and then got two rooms at the Polynesian and all purchased the Annual Passes through my father's military (ret.) discount (great savings!). If we had the dreammaker with two rooms and compared it to our current package, we have now saved about 2000!

I saved 40.00 with the EWK Code!!!!!
I had the Azz rate but with EWK I saved 10.00 per night!!! Hey that is breakfest one morning!!!!

We all have to be patient. Technically we have another 3 week wait till fall AP rates are released. I understand ya'll are just expressing your frustration, I'm waiting for AP rates too. So, I'm feeling the pain. But we waited last year and our patience paid off. We got some really good discounts. Just think, we'll be that much closer to our vacation dates!
So, buck up little campers, discounts are on they way. They might not be coming soon enough, but they're coming nonetheless.

I think she is just saying that last year we had to wait until Aug 28 and if we go by last year that's when they will be released this year. But if you look at AP rate patterns over the years, there are no patterns as far as dates are concerned. I am still hopeful it will be sooner, as there are quite a few reports of something coming out on Sunday.

I mentioned earlier, I have seen here and in other places, that some people have been told when they have called, besides to keep calling on the rates, to watch the Sunday papers. I hope it's soon.

OK well I have called 3 times today and I was told that there is no ap rate for WL standard or woods view. I upgraded from standard to courtyard for 137 a night. I heard on here of others getting 109standard and 119 woods but all 3 times they have said no!!! I don't mind cause I got a good price for courtyard but still prefer the standard oh well. I guess I will have to keep trying and checking on mousesavers.
