Let's see if I can decipher your smilie post. You called CRO, they said the AP rates should be out in 7 to 10 days. They are waiting to release the rates because the Food & Wine ressies are opening up tomorrow & the phones will be quite busy with those.

How'd I do?

I was just checking historic trends at mousesavers and if last years release dates are any indication of this years dates I think we have a while to wait. Last Year Oct-Dec AP rates were not released until 8/28/03 5 days after the previous time frames AP's expired. Also I understand there were no AP's for Sept last year. Based on this I predict that If there are no AP's this year for Sept. then the AP'S will come out in late AUG. If there are AP's for Sept then I believe Sept,Oct,Nov and Dec AP's will be released soon.......................But if you look at 2002 release dates it throws this theory all out of whack. They released AP's up until Sept 30 in JAN and AP's for OCT-DEC July 28th...............I guess all Im saying is: WHO KNOWS:confused:

Alright, I'll take a stab at this one....

When the rates come out, you want us to post what rate we got where for how much with what Rate Code.

I think we're going to buy our airline tickets today (since 4 Southwest flights for our departure day -Dec. 11th-have become unavailable within the course of a week-yikes!!), and I was HOPING, okay, PRAYING for the AP rates to come out!!

I'll be crossing my fingers...and toes...and eyes..:bounce: :Pinkbounc  that those lovely AP rates come out soon!!!

I am getting so disappointed calling every morning at the crack of dawn. I know - then stop calling every morning- LOL. I went through this same thing last fall waiting for December AP rates and did not want to do this again- but here I go again.
Please don't flame me, but I'm about ready to check to see if there is a government or AP rate available at the Dolphin for my dates and be done calling every morning (except for PS).
I know Disney is a business that wants to see what (or if) any discounts should be released based on bookings. But I'm starting to get tired of the old AP game. I realize they didn't come out until end of August last year, but my dates weren't until December so it did not feel like I was cutting it as close. Since we are getting there October 30, it just feels like it is rapidly approaching with no place to stay.
Sorry for the long rant!
Good luck to us all!

I haven't been keeping up with the whole thread, I just read a couple of the 1st posting and now the last.

I remember waiting for AP rates a couple of years ago, and when they finally became available they were not 1st thing in the morning!

I had to call to update my resv. (without any discount rate) & it was lunch time. After I was done with my changes, they asked if there was anything else, so I inquired about the AP rates. She told me she was sure they weren't out but she'd check anyway. And guess what, they were available! She was very surprised, as well as I, because earlier she said they were not available.

So now I usually try in the early afternoon. The mornings are alway so busy with callers anyway.

You are right about them being released at any time. I recall them being released around 4:00 one afternoon. The resort board went crazy! I think we're already crazy.

I've already called for my 2nd weekend after checking out of BCV in late October. There are no AP or government rates currently at the Dolphin due to projected high turnout for the food and wine festival. Lowest price quoted to me was $275 per night. So the waiting game goes on.
