I have heard that by checking in early in the day you have a better selection of rooms. my question is that if we get there by about 11am but the rooms aren't ready, do they technically check you in or is it when you return later in the day? i am asking b/c if we get there by 11 am and they aren't ready we are going to hit a park but i don't want to return later in the day and not be able to get a section of the hotel i want. do you think they will take into consideration what section i want when i tell them in the morning and save a room for us until we return after the park since we were really there early in the first place?

you do get checked-in and you'll get your key but if the room isn't ready yet, you'd have to call back later in the day to get the room #.

but if guests are checking out that day, i don't think their rooms would be available until it's cleared by housekeeping anyway. so you can just pick the best of what's available at that time. which in a sense is true of anytime.

We arrived to check in at 11:00am this past June at YC. They checked us in and gave us our room keys and asked if we would prefer a 1st floor patio room or an upper floor. The rooms were not ready so we were given a number to call to check later. We hit Epcot and called at about 2:00, not ready yet. We were tired and hot so we returned at 3:30, still not ready. However the manager on duty came over and reassigned us to a different room that had been serviced already. :yay:
