Check In Question - all need to be there?

Hi There,

We're heading down in September and for the first time my parents will be staying with us. We (DH, DS, and I) are flying in from CT on a Saturday evening and staying at POP for the first night then moving over to OKW on Sunday, and my parents are driving up from Ft. Myers on Sunday. How will check in work - should we wait for them to arrive and check in all together? or can we just check in for all of us and get settled in while waiting for them to arrive? or can we check ourselves in and send them over to the HH to get their cards and parking pass once they arrive? Oh, that makes me think of another question...will they allow more than one parking pass per villa?

Are you all staying in the same unit, or will they have their own unit? If you are all staying together, you can check everyone in all at once, and even get the two parking passes needed. If you are staying in different units, you would have to be named on their unit to check in for them.

Yes, we're all staying in the same unit - so it sounds like we'll be able to check in and relax while we wait for them. I had visions of trying to contain DS (2 years old) in the lobby at some said rendezvous time and having my parents be late...not that something like that has ever happened before

LOL, no, whomever arrives first can do it for all. The only thing you might want to do is be in cell phone contact so you can inform them about which unit you are in.

Yes, good idea to keep in touch. We hooked up with my mom last fall (she stayed at ASMu on a FL resident rate then) and I remember her calling when she was pulling in to WDW property so we could head back to our villa at BWV then she met us over there after she checked in...that worked well, and really I would have no concern about meeting to check in together if it was just her, but my dad is a dawdler (sp?).

BTW, OT - I grew up in Bloomington and had a close friend in Lakeville when I was in High School...so, howdy previous neighbor!
