If you add a regular night onto free dining at this point (my package is due next week) due to cheaper air fare the day before, how do you check into the hotel. Just as a one night stay and then go back the next morning to check into free dining? And if so, does everyone have to leave the room to show their face for check in for free dining? I have a ding tonight so I have to choose and I am not quite sure what to do. Thankyou

When you check in for the one night tell them that you have a package reservation starting the next night, and that you would like to stay in the same room if possible. There's no guarantee, but they will probably try and accomodate you. Even if you are able to stay in the same room, you may have to stop back in the morning to officially check in for your package and have your dining added onto the KTTW cards.

We are doing the same. We can fly out on Thursday night arriving Friday morning but our package does not start until Saturday. We thought this was a great opportunity to try POP for one night, a place we have been curious about. Then we will move over to ASmovies for the remainder of our stay. We have a few days still left on some passes that we got and applied the no experation to. We still have 3 days at parks and 5 days at water parks so it gives us some choices.

Last year we had to check out and then check back in for free dining. We did not change rooms, although that is not guaranteed. I had everyone with me at the initial check-in although not when I re-checked in although some people have said that some resorts had asked to see everyone at check-in so no guarantee there either. We were at POR.

We had reservations made thru SWA then ended up adding days thru Disney-2 different reservations. They were able to keep us in the same room-but on the day of 2nd reservation we needed to go back to the desk & re-check in. New cards & all. Didn't need to have everyone present-but we didn't have dining either. I'm betting you will need to re-check in & be given new cards. They will do their best to keep you from moving into another room.

Yes, you will have to check out and check back in for your free dining the next day. As a pp said, let them know you have a package ressie that starts the following day and (hopefully) you won't have to switch rooms....no guarantee, but most times they'll try to keep you in the same room, provided it's the same room category as your package :goodvibes.
