Check in at the Dolphin??

I understand that check in at the Dolphin isnt until 3pm, but do they really stick to that? We will be arriving there around noon. Does anyone think they would go ahead and give us our room if its ready? When we had stayed there on a previously i cant remember if if arrived early on not. Thanks

I've had mixed experiences at the Dolphin. My first stay there in November/December, I couldn't get in to my room until 3:00PM. However, during my most recent stay two weeks ago, I was able to get in to the room at 10:30 when I checked in.

Although you might not be able to get in to your room until after 3PM, you will be able to check in; that is, leave your credit card, buy your tickets if you need them, store your luggage, etc. Then, come back later in the day to get your room assignment.Have a great trip!

It might depend on the time of year too, if it's during peak season or not.

We checked in around 12:45 on a Friday afternoon. I was surprised our room was ready! But---it was February 1st--not a real busy time of year.

In December, we arrived at the Dolphin around 10:30 am and we were told that our room wasn't ready yet because there was still people in it as check out wasn't until 11am. We checked our bags in, went eat lunch at Beaches and Cream, and walked around the Boardwalk. We called the Dolphin around 1pm and our room was ready.

It really depends on how booked the resort is. That goes for any of the WDW resorts. If there is not a room available then you have to wait. I have never had to wait til 3pm to check in....I would not worry. If they can not check you in til later, leave your bags there and go to the parks.
