Check-in and KTTW Question

In May, we're staying at ASMu, and our flight lands at 10 AM. Assuming our flight's on time, the people on the transportation board have said that we can expect to be at our hotel by 11:30 or so. Official check-in isn't until 3, but I read that sometimes you can get into your room early.

The park we're doing our first day is DHS, which has evening EMH that day. I know that once EMH starts, you have to show your KTTW to get onto the rides, but what if we get to our hotel and check in and our room isn't ready? Will they still give us our KTTW but without our room assignment loaded onto it? Or will we have to leave DHS sometime after 3 to check in to ASMu and get our KTTW so we can take advantage of EMH. I really don't want to take the time to leave the park in the middle of the afternoon, just to get our KTTW, but if it's what we have to do, I'll do it. Thanks!

You can check in early and they will give you your KTTW cards. They just won't tell you your room number. But your tickets etc. will be on your KTTW and you can have a text sent when your room is ready. Then you just go to your room when you return. And, maybe you'll get lucky and they'll have a room when you first arrive. Either way you'll be able to enjoy your first day at DHS with no worries.

Plus it is cool to get a text from Disney saying your room is ready. I have the texts saved from previous trips.
