I am so angry right now. I just found by accident yesterday that the perscription that I've been on for the past 4 years has had a rebate offer for up to $30 off EACH monthly copay for YEARS. The program ended 5/31/08. I am really mad at myself because I never even thought to check their website to see if there was a rebate:mad: When I called in to ask them about it, they said "well, not everybody knows about the rebate". Well, DUH. It's not like they advertised it, apparently. I only found it when doing a web search for the Prevacid rebate info that I needed for my daughter's perscription. Somehow the rebate for my drug also popped up.

Anyways, if you or your family members are on a brand name perscription drug, be sure to do a web search to see if there is a monthly rebate/savings program or even a one-time rebate for the drug. I figure that I spent somewhere between $600-$800 in copays on this drug over the 2 years when I would have qualified for the rebate:mad: My highest copay while on the drug was $30, so all of my copays would have been rebated:sad2: I feel so stupid for never checking to see if the drug had a rebate.

When I did some poking around online, I found a $15/month savings card off the copay for my mother's Lipitor perscription. It looks like ALL of the acid blocking drugs have some sort of similar program. Anyways, I hope that this helps someone.

Nasonex spray offers a reuseable $10 coupon good up to 12 uses.
Visist
Nasonex.com scroll down and on the left side you will the coupon offer.

The ones that I know of so far are:

$25/month savings off Prevacid copay with their beyond the burn program. www.prevacid.com . If you mail order, you can submit it as a rebate also.

$10 or $15 monthly savings off Lipitor copay, depending on your copay I believe. www.lipitor.com . Not sure if you can submit if you mail order.

Also, ALL of the brand name acid blocking drugs had decent monthly savings cards or rebates off their copays.

There is a coupon on the yaz site for $10 off the first prescription. I have filled it once or twice before but private pay each time. Do you think target will let me use the coupon even though it's not my first time picking up the rx?

Edited to add that it is my first "prescription" but my second or third time picking it up.

we also recently received a card for a nasal spray for my daughter that limits the co-pay to $25. unfortunately, the spray did more harm then good and i threw it away, othewise i'd post the name. ask your doctorsand nurses, they may have heard something from the drug reps.

Thanks so much for the info on the Prevacid rebate.

You can submit for 6 months back on the Prevacid rebate. The info on how to do so is in the FAQ on their website. On a going-forward basis, the "Beyond the Burn" card that you can sign up for on their website gives you an automatic $25 off when you pick up the perscription.

Thank you so much for posting this. I found savings for my son's advair and nasonex.

Great information! Thanks for the heads up, I never thought to check for this!

Please don't be offended but it is spelled prescription not perscription. I have never corrected anyone before, and I hope you are not mad. :flower3: But you spelled it that way in every post so I think this is one of those words where people spell it like it sounds, kwim?

Regardless, we can all use help with the costs! :)

When you search for these rebates, do you use the name brand or the generic name for the drug?

My DH takes three meds, 2 for high blood pressure (Avapro~name brand and Atenolol-Chlorhal~generic) and Simvastatin~generic for Lipitor for Choloesterol.

DD takes Keppra~name brand for epilepsy and Omeprazole~generic for Prilosec for reflux.

Our copays for name brand are $25/month and $6/month for generics so we're paying $68/month for all 5. Not bad compared to what some are paying but if there's a rebate out there, it would help with other expenses.

I'm so excited you posted this. I just got a new perscription yesterday. Each refill is $90. There was a coupon on the website for $50 off the first fill and $25 off the next! Woohoo. :cool1: Thanks!!!

I have found coupons for my wife's BONIVA. With my plan it costs me $40 (one pill per month), and the coupon is for $20 off.

I got a $25 rebate for a Veramyst. The doctor gave me a free 30 day sample (THANK YOU DR!) and there was a $25 rebate on it.

If I can still find it, I'll mail it to anyone.

If anyone takes Nexium, they have a card you can sign up to get savings back for 6 months. It's knocked about $7 a month off my prescription.

So far I've only seen the rebates off the brand names, but I would still search for the generics.

Thanks! I'm terrible at spelling:scared:

Thank you so much, I looked up my Depakote and they have a card that will get me $20 a month off the co-pay. That's huge and will bring the monthly cost of this prescription down to $15. :cool1:
