Cheapest car rental for 1 day

What is the cheapest way to rent a car for 2 people for 1 day?Will be staying at the All Stars and only need a car for 1 day,how do you get there ?I read that the front desk at any WDW resort can help with car rentals.Has anyone done this?E-mail me at mickeys_friend@hotmail.com or mickeys_friend@charter.net

There are a couple of places you can rent from within WDW. National, Alamo, Avis and budget are the ones I have found with places to rent on property. Budget was the cheapest for the date I needed it, but only using the AWD code for Walmart customers. (you can find the code at www.mousesavers.com) Avis was a close second, though. Their rental counters are at the Doubletree and the Hilton at DTD. National has counters at the car care center and at the Swan and Dolphin. Alamo has a counter at the car care center. Check out Mousesavers for codes and just play around to see who is the cheapest for your dates.

I was able to get a car with Buget for $28 w/taxes for a friday-sat rental period, but that was from the airport returning to the Doubletree. Monday's rental was a couple of dollars more, but I have a giftcertificate and splurged on a full size car from Avis.

We have a car reserved with Dollar. We'll pick it up at the airport and return it at the Courtyard near DTD the next day. Also have one reserved to do the opposite at the end of our trip. I reserved a compact for $24.99 (with taxes $29 one way and $32 the other due to airport fees). You can join the Dollar Fastlane program online (free) and they send you a coupon for a free upgrade.
