Hi,

I am planning a trip to WDW next month and have managed to find good deals on accomodation and tickets, but need cheaper flights.

Our current quotes for flight pp are around the 400.00gbp.

Anyone got any tips on decent/cheap companies/web sites that might be able to help.

Ive seen some last-minute deals for as 180.00gbp pp. Do you think its worth waiting and taking a chance that a good flight deal will come up around when we need to go?

Does anyone know if the accomodation quoted on loads of sites are per person or room? And, do they include sales tax?

I really want to go, but the budget is only around the 1800.00gbp ( for whole holiday ) Can it be done on this budget for 2 adults and 1 child for 1 week?

All help appreciated guys!!

Angel, I think you might be struggling for a cheaper flight next month. Florida is pretty much solidly booked for July and August, and even much of September and October. Capacity has been cut this year and the tour operators/travel agents are not finding it hard to sell at near-to-normal (i.e. brochure prices) just now. The obvious places to look if there are going to be any deals are www.lastminute.com, www.opodo.co.uk, www.expedia.co.uk, www.flightline.co.uk and www.cheapflights.com. You could also try on Teletext (either Page 222 or www.teletextholidays.co.uk) If all of those give you no real better deal than the one you've been offered, I'm afraid to say there just are no deals around this summer. It's a combination of reduced capacity and stronger demand after the War.

Have you looked at flying in to Tampa Int'l Airport from Gatwick?

It seems to be cheaper and is situated just 1 - 1.5 hours from Orlando and the WDW Resort.

British Airways offer direct flights to Tampa regularly.

It's worth a try.

Richard. :)

Mid July until Mid August is the most expensive time to fly to Florida.

Travel City Direct are offering flights from £459.

We are paying £269 for flights at the end of August

Hi,
The person who already replied has given you VERY good advice.
Everything he says is true.
If you are going in July, (PEAK time) go as EARLY as you can in the month. Try to avoid flying on a Saturday or Sunday. Be flexible and be prepared to book as soon as you see a good deal. SO MANY people think prices fall last minute! Not any more, not in the busy times! Only in the quietest days when everyone's at home, like late April, early-mid May.
If you ever get a choice, avoid July if you want a bargain! Sometime's it's not possible I know!
I just noticed that your budget is under $2000. If that is to include 14 days of food and drink and passes for the parks too, you'll have a BIG problem!

Hi

Its for 1 week as I am pregnant and only want to be away for a week. We have already been before, so a week will be okay. Its for 2 adults and 1 child.

Cheers for all your advice, still looking for cheap flights or cheap package holiday.

If TCD is as pricey as that, the only way you will really undercut it is to search around for non-direct flights.

I have spoken to a work colleague in the last few days who flew into Atlanta then drove down in the school holidays last year for just less than 300 per person but I'm sure you would not want such a drive (I think he said 6.5 hours) if you are pregnant.
