Marcy,
Congrats on the adoption. That must be exciting beyond belief.
As for the pins that were rejected at Epcot, they were the Sedesma (sp?) ones. As others have stated, some CMs in other parks traded for them, but after the bad experience at Epcot, my son was understandably timid to ask.
One CM explained to my older son that the fact that these were not cloissaine (sp?) and had black backs indicated they were fakes. They are cute pins. In fact, my sons traded for a couple of these from CMs and also one or two others that were in no way official Disney pins. I grumbled, but if they were happy, I guess that's what counts.
I have had no dealings with the eBay seller mentioned. I did look at her auctions and the pins in the bulk lots at least resembled some of the ones we had, but of course, our fakes would obviously resemble better pins. Maybe asking the color of the back of the pins would help.
Our trip for Christmas will be our last Disney trip for at least a couple of years so there may be a whole new fad by then. We've had a lot of fun with pin trading until this last little bump in the road.
Sheila
