Has anyone seen any cheap airfare from Newark, NJ to Orlando in January or Feburary? Just wondering, we usually fly continental and last year the tickets were only like 80 round trip. let me know

Thanks

I am showing a r/t all in at $137.00 on USA 3000 which is an alright airline. All of the majors are a tad over $200 for that time frame. Expect those to come down though.

Rex, Where were you able to find the airfare for USA 3000 from Newark, NJ to Orlando? I went on there website and it doesn't look like there are any flights from Newark to Orlando :confused3

A steal like $80 round trip would be nice again :)

USA3000 does not fly into MCO from EWR. It flies into St. Pete/Clearwater. Continental is the only airline flying out of EWR that has prices up now. And they are almost $600 for the first weekend of February (which is before Presidents Day). Jetblue is only booking through January 8 but their fares if you went down 1/2 and came back 1/8 is $198 + tax.

Continental, Spirit, AirTran, Southwest, JetBlue... for the end of August. I have only seen the prices go up a few dollars. HISTORICALLY... we jumped on good rates last July for September 05... But I am dancing nervously because with gas prices this year... you just cant predict one way or the other....
.. last years trip was cheap... this year is turning out to be $$$$.

goodluck.

Duckfan..we are headed down in April 07 for Easter break. We wanted EWR but Continental was over $550 per person. We opted to go out of JFK with Delta for $287 per person.

I flew continental in March for 69 each way, which was suprising since it was spring break. Maybe you could get them since jan and Feb isnt peak?

We got a round trip tickets from EWR to MCO this past January for only $77 per person. I didn't think we could beat that but $69 is pretty amazing! Hopefully these gas prices will go down and tickets will too. I'd rather fly out of philly than JFK, even though JFK is closer, its just easier to get to philly. I checked continental today and it seems like tickets are right around $199 for January 2007.

Tink,
I sent you a PM on the website that shows the USA 3000 flights into MCO. Like I said just a few minutes ago it is not a direct flight but it's worth it.

You'll have to make duckfan78 your travel agent, he was the one who found it for us! I remember the people behind us on the plane talking about how much they paid for the tickets -one guy was bragging that he only paid $100 for the round trip ticket, the guy next to him told him that he only paid $88. I kept my mouth shut and didn't tell them that we only paid $77 :rolleyes1

I have to say, we are flexible with our travel dates, no kids to worry about taking out of school or anything so we can get some good rates but we just booked right off of the continental website, no secrets or anything.

My friend jumped on great air (for sept) early this year before the dining plan came out. Made me jealous. I know continental came out with a sale for 59$ to florida last july, but I booked my daughters group and my group on airtran out of philly for the 157pp round trip (works out to be about 59$) -- I paid 158pp with the continetal sale last year. I just look at the ridiculous prices of gas and think - maybe there wont be a sale.... better get direct flights while I can.
