Hi

Well I have decided after much temptation its time to buy myself a pair of crocs. I thought I would get them now to break them in for my upcoming holiday in Aug.

Prob is which ones? Where is the cheapest place I can get them from. Every penny saved at the moment counts. 2 WDW holidays to pay for at the moment every penny saved :thumbsup2

I was thinking of these ones

My fav colour is black, but something tells me that black and Florida dont go together unless I want frazzled feet. Which colours have you got as well?

Hi Michelle - I've actually got the Cayman Crocs - although I'm not sure what the difference is between thos and Beach :confused3

I've got black (which actually aren't too bad), light blue and pink - the only ones I don't really like the colour of is the pink ones (they are the ones I wear the least because they don't go with much - I wish I'd bought fuschia). My daughter has got the white, which are more like a creamy, beigy colour - not pure white.

I am buying Daniel a pair of Crocs for our holiday next year and I am going to get him the navy ones.

If I were to buy another pair for myself, I'd go for a fairly neutral colour - once you've got them, you're going to want to wear them all the time so it's better to have a pair that go with anything :thumbsup2

ETA: I've always bought mine from sweetfeetshoes but I think Ebay is probably cheaper.

like Joh, I got mine from sweetfeet shoes, I have the athens which are more of a flip flop style. They are in white and turquoise and are like dreams on your feet. I want to get the capri next.

Jules, although I love the look of the Athens, I really hate wearing flip flop type shoes - I find the 'post' between your toes really annoying. Apart from the 'underneath' comfort, is there any difference between Athens and normal flip flops in terms of the post and whether it rubs between your toes :confused3

Joh, I am just like that, can't normally stick the toebar, but I have no problems with the athens rubbing my toes

I quite fancy a pair of these too. I can't wear the toe bar type ones at all.
They irritate me

Ooh, thanks Jules, might be tempted to give them a try then :thumbsup2

You can have your thread back now Michelle :)

Joh, what size feet have you, I can bring the athens on Sunday and you can have a go

no worries, I am a five and they are a bit too big for me if I'm honest, so they should be fine for you to give them a try, remind me before then

Warning: I bought the flip-flop style ones last year and wore them in August at WDW. After kali River Rapids my feet were soaked and I carried on walking in these, half hour later I had identical humungous blisters around where the base of the toe bar had been, and it affected my walking for the rest of the week, even though I stopped using them, went back to trainers and used blister treatments. i will never wear them again at WDW, I will stick to my Beach style from now on, never had a problem with those!

Ok lesson over:rotfl:

Apparently the cayman are narrow :confused3 I would imagine the beach would be better for me I dont know. Its hard to order over the net not knowing what they feel like.

Claire, have you worn your other crocs on Kali? I thought these would be good for the trip. I normally wear cheap old foam £5.00 flip flops from DP.

Wondering if Bluewater has them anywhere to try on. Will have a look at the website.

I found on the Crocs site an article that said the Cayman have a slightly narrower sole than the Beach. They are definitely NOT narrow though as I have quite wide feet and I find them OK, if not a bit wide to be honest.

Regarding trying them on, check with sweetfeetshoes but they have been good before about letting me return some Crocs just because I didn't like the colour when I saw thim IRL.

Just brought my first pair of black Crocs from great Universal book. I like them so much i've been on the jellyegg.com site to order sandal for DH & flip flops for me. They also have some thing called Jibbit to decorate your croc's.
The p+p is free as well. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Thanks Joh will order the Cayman ones, but Sweetfeet have none in black for my size. I am looking around other stores at the moment. I dont really want bright colours, as you say you want them to match the rest. Not sure on the white or butter ones. I think its because I am used to dark shoes.

Jellyegg.com have all different colour if that helps you out

Personally I've found that the Jellyegg site has very slow delivery. Although I don't think that would be much of a concern if you are not going to need them till August.

I've bought most of mine from Sweetfeet and also Ebay. I like the Scutes style and have 2 pairs of black and 2 pairs of pink. I think at my last count I had about 13 pairs:scared1:

.

I haven't actually, i was too scared:rotfl: so i took cheapy flip flops to wear on Kali and then changed afterwards, better safe than sorry;)

If I get some I could test them before I take them to FL. Perhaps I could walk around in Casey's padding pool and then walk around afterwards to check they are suitable :rotfl: To make sure no blisters appear.

I am going to go to Bluewater on Sat if I can persuade dh and try them on and see what they are like. That way I dont have to wait 3 days for them. :thumbsup2

I decided to wear my red crocs to work today as I've had them for a while but haven't had a chance as the weather hasn't been too good. But the sun is shining today so thought I'd try them!! They're very comfy and I've had positive remarks from most people on how they look - I had one person ask what are those ugly things on your feet!! How rude!!! They're soooooo comfy!! Thanks for the recommendations as if it wasn't for the DIS I wouldn't be wearing them now!!!
