I have allowed myself another 25 mins...and then its back to the books...I should have been doing it all day but I needed a break...my eyes really started hurting so I took an all day break...but now I have 4 chapters to read in psychology...and I have a quiz to do on it. luckily I can do the quiz on blackboard...

some of the younger kids in my class were talking about how they can cheat on the quiz online...I ask them if you cheat how are you going to know what is what on the exam??? that is in class..and it is a huge part of the grade...they don't seem concerned...I bet their parents would love to hear all of this.

Gee, I hadn't thought of it that way...

And girls wearing boxers are all the rage, ya know. So is wearing your pajamas out and about, but that's one I really don't get...

I HATE that. Why on earth wuld you want to wear your jammies out in public? I dont get it.

DH loves the boxer-briefs, but DANG are those expensive! Thank goodness Santa always brings him a few...

Tell me about it! Its all Frelan wears, and DANG. Those things are spendy. I get them at Target.

Hee hee. That reminds me of my TA days. I gave THREE students a 0 grade once, because their programs were identical. I mean everything, word for word, even the text documentation of how the code worked. That just would never ever happen. One was a very good student, so I had a pretty good idea what had happened, I just wasn't sure if he'd knowingly helped the other two cheat or not. Turned out he had simply printed out his program, reviewed it, then tossed the printout in the recycle box... from where the other two stole it and copied.

So I amended his grade to a 100. One of the two who got a 0 took his lumps and never did it again; the other one actually had the nerve to go to the professor and complain! She said it wasn't "fair" that she got a 0.

I told the professor that she'd not written the code, she copied it, as did another student who also got a 0. She could have been expelled, for pete's sake, what an idiot to go complain!

The 0 grade stood, and I think she wound up dropping the class.

I know! And at least if you're pathetic enough to cheat, tweak the code a bit, change the wording of the documentation, SOMETHING so that it's not so obvious. DUH!

Some people are just too stupid to be in college!

more power to them...I just hope they don't put these ideas in the certain kids head...I think he may have a slight learning problem...when they walked away he and I talked about that being a bad idea and why...I don't know though...he is already having a tough time so I think it is possible he will take the easy way out....

OMG! PBS is going to show an REO Speedwagon performance, and showed a clip of it.

I wasn't watching until I heard the music. First I was trying to figure out the group: The music sounds familiar... Who's the guy with the long, thick blond hair?

Then there was a familiar song: Let's take it on the run, bayyybayyyyy...

Then the lead singer looked soooo familiar, but not because of the music. Where did I see him recently??? He was so nice, so sweet and humble and friendly...

Oh, he was on Name That Tune with Wayne Brady!

Gina, that did freak me out a bit! Are you going to see if you can switch classes? Or ask someone to walk you to your car every night?

I wonder if you can find out what he was in prison for. Maybe he's on parole and you could contact his parole officer? GEESH!

I will be honest, I am a little afraid to make waves for him....I sent my p. an email and ask him if there was any way he would let me in his other class...I know it is filled up but would he consider it and I explained why...if he says no I am just going to drop it and take the W...and I will hit it again in the spring..

He sits and wiggles his eyebrows at me and a few other things and I am a little freaked over it..WHY WOULD ANYONE BLURT THAT OUT IN CLASS?
