Go for it!![]()
I like the look of those Sketchers with the criss-cross velcro tie, I think they're really cute, and I've seen them in really cute colors and fabrics. But I tried on one pair to see how they felt, and (at least the one I tried) they felt flimsy and uncomfortable. I was so bummed! And they're pricey, like $45!![]()
Maybe they'd look silly on a 45yo woman anyway, I notice they're marketed to teenage girls.![]()

I would love flip flops in the winterI really would

Its so FREEING! See how I didnt insert a Z as in Freezing! Because its NOT![]()

I have a pair of black sketchers that have no back..(can't think of what its called)...I hate them....
winter blows...yes snow is pretty...yes it can be romantic..blah..blah..blah..its flipping cold, wet and I hate it after the first couple of snows
We wouldn't know how to put chains on our tires or shovel a driveway. I love fall and winter time! I like snow but there would be chaos if it snowed in Los Angeles. We would all look like the Sims when they're confused. We wouldn't know how to put chains on our tires or shovel a driveway.

I'm sure we have the same saying "You dont have to shovel sunshine"![]()

DH wears shorts pretty much year round, but he does get a lot of flack for it. He's just very hot all the time (temperature-wise, I mean... OK, both ways! When I moved to florida I was shocked at how many people from other states wouldnt do the whole white shoes after labor day thing and no white in winter unless it was winter white. Here in Phoenix everything is ultra casual. We wear flip flops and grill all year round. White tennis shoes goes all the time who cares. Wearing shorts all year is normal too. There are no rules for dress. Of course work has rules but everything is so casual here that the thought of actually making college students dress up seems insane to me. I mean really dress up, dockers and polos are ok if that is what is considered the norm I guess.
Business casual when I worked in Arkansas (different rules even at Wal-Mart) was a dress shirt and slacks or a nice pencil skirt and hose and high heels. I got sent home one time because my skirt was a half an inch too short. I was 22. My skirt was at knee length. I was humiliated.
So I guess living in the desert has given me this perspective. maybe if I lived somewhere else I might feel differently but heck we barely cover up here in Jan.
) and feels more comfortable in shorts and t-shirts. He'd wear sandals year round too, if it weren't for the snow...

They always say that on the news when the first snow storm hits somewhere in the country!DH wears shorts pretty much year round, but he does get a lot of flack for it. People around here don't wear white year round, though I doubt many stick to the Labor Day date strictly. Basically when the weather turns dark and gloomy, white shoes stick out like a sore thumb, plus they'd always be covered in muddy water stains if you wore them.
