Eloy went to his primary doc today, he hadn't gone for over a year so they kept calling and asking him to call back .. finally they sent a letter and I nagged him to make an appt.
Added yet another diagnosis to the list, I did the "told you so" starewhen I read his report. Now he HAS to quit smoking, he is starting by cutting back and replacing with the nicotine gum. The gum isn't all that great for him either but it's a starting point as the oral med he can't have due to his history of seizures (besides it never worked for him anyway). And an inhaler before exercise.
He told her his hearing has been "off" in one ear. She said that hearing loss is common in dialysis patientsweird, never read of that one before. He has a referral to an audiologist and ENT.
Likely some new meds too.. ahhh the joys of having a messed up aging body
Hubby said it was a good visit, she took a very long time going over each concern and offering advice. Finally a doc who understands my hubby! Doesn't preach, doesn't scold and listens when he says something isn't right.![]()
Oh that is so awesome, sounds like he's found a good doctor. And yay that your husband is going to quit smoking!! Thankfully you seem to have the patience of a god, you might need it.
