BRB, I'm gonna go make myself some lunch (no idea what...) and get on the laptop!

The late elementary school years are a golden time, enjoy them!

But watch out when the hormones kick in, instead of just mumbling and spazzing at a small roar.. it turns into SLAM doors and STOMP feet and things being thrtwon around the room. And maybe osme foul words thrown in for good measure.. what's that?? You want some time out while you clean-- that can be arranged. How about some privileges taken away while you're atr it? sure.. no problem-- would love to have the TV to myslef again :rolleyes1

:rotfl2:

Actually J is not that bad, he does the mutter mutter , argument with raised voice and I just give him THE LOOK.

And then laugh my head off.

:lmao: :rotfl2:

okay, done, feel better?

NO (grumble face)

awww, too bad.. now get it done. :upsidedow

SIGH, fine.. and off he goes.
Geeee... Mikalah already DOES that. Slams doors... stomps, not the naughty language though.. But she does argue. Quite funny coming from a 3yo.

okay, so hubby came home awhile ago now.. I had to grill him.. what did they say? how did it go? what do you think???

It was a short interview, based on 15 questions and one of them asked if "It's imporant that the students like you"

He answered : it would be nice but I would rather they respect me and the rules of the classroom first and liking me is something that may happen later.

The Dean who helped with the interview said it was the best answer they had heard all day. :goodvibes

AND they had been doing interviews all week and today, she had a cancellation for this time slot and checked the applicant pool -- finding hubby's she called right away.

I take this to mean.... they had interviews but the other candidates didn't quite fit what she wanted. Why else would you check the app pool mid day? :confused3

anyway, he will hear back next week either way.

It was a very short interview.. but they sounded excited about some of the work he has already done. And one of the workshops he attended and implemented the techniques in classroom (Capturing Kid's Hearts) .

:thumbsup2 It sounds like it went very well! Awesome! I hope he gets it.

Cool! That sounds like a good interview, G! What did he think of the place? Would he like to work there? Hopefully no bad vibes or areas of concern?

I hope it turns out well for him! :thumbsup2

DS7 just asked me what I was chuckling about, so I had to explain Bernice's "nm", which I can't explain! :rotfl:

So he says, "Who's Bernice?" I explained that she is one of my DIS lady friends who lives in Minnesota.

He gasps and asks adoringly, "She lives with the Vikings? And the Twins?" :lovestruc

Yes, honey, that's Bernice. Livin' it up hanging out in the locker rooms. :lmao:

Hmmmm... I just called on the AP7 rate. They had it available for all 3 hotels, and all views in each one. Park View GCH was $299. and at the PP it is $159. Concierge at the PP is $298. Hmmmm.... We COULD stay at the PP. Thats a deal.

It's the same school J went to the year before we moved-- we moved to this district for a reason-- it's GOOD!
The high school is in the top 5% of the nation per Newsweek.

The staff seem to be genuinely happy , or that is how we felt as parents of a student there. We've always felt welcome in the building and encouraged to be active participants in the school.

Oh man! Did I mess up? I didn't even ask about different room prices! I bet she looked under the standard rooms. :headache:

What a dork I am! :rotfl2:

Okay... Never mind!! I just got the entertainment rate at the hojos.. So it will only cost us $500 for 6 nights. They only had it for 4 of the nights, but I am SO cool with that.

Cool! So would the kids be going there again?

I asked about all the views at ALL the hotels. But I think the week we are going is less busy than December.. I know that in Dec. all the weekends are blocked out for the AP7 rate.
