What's up? Aww...baby uggs sound cute! Those are real popular here but I can't picture myself wearing them. I don't think I could pull off the Uggs look....I would probably look like an Eskimo!

What about those baby socks that have the padding on the bottom to prevent slipping? My cousin used to buy tons of those for Emilee when she was little, but that's because she ran around the house like crazy!

There is a great line of (kinda pricey, IMO) leather footwear for babies/toddlers. They're great for babies to learn to walk in, since they basically form to the shape of the foot, instead of shoes with a hard sole. They're called Robeez, and they come in very cute styles! Here's a link:

Nope, first I was interviewing her. Then she was interviewing me, but then her phone rang. So yeah I guess it was my quote.

When she signed up for the DIS she was either 2goofy4u or Iam2goofy4u. She can't remember which one, so I guess we can just call her 2goofy!

Much easier than calling her my sister! Now we can have proctor mom and 2goofy mom!

Hubby has been letting me sleep and going to training on his own.
Daily dialysis is agreeing with him, his KT/v (measurement of how well the blood is being cleaned) has bumped up to 2.0

WOOHOO!!!

Here's something to ponder-- mind you it will make your head hurt.. but it's very interesintg.. and kinda scary considering E's issues.

There are some odd medical ethics brewing out there.. QALY is something to be VERY VERY afraid of.. how valuable is a loved ones life in terms of cost to care for that person? And where do you draw the line and stop treament?
(FYI: Typical Limit is $100,000 QALY , dialysis patient QALY runs about $96,000.)

In the future, QALY could be used to decide: You cost too much to keep alive.

THat is scary!

Good news and bad news.

Bad news: DS4 has NOT been napping the last hour and a half, he's just been sneakily quiet, playing in my room with a flashlight.

Good news: In 10 minutes we leave to pick up DH at the airport, WOOHOO!!!

I got most of my stuff at Target and Walmart when my kids were babies. Just remember that Babies are us is a little more expensive. and no, babies arent supposed to wear hard soled shoes before they start walking, it can mess up their feet.


The socks would work well when the are older, but if the baby isnt walking they have no need for it. Not that babies have no need for socks! just not the grippy ones yet!

Ah good to know. I guess I will save that for a later birthday gift.

When I was having babies, it was fun to give/get the cute gifts: Adorable clothes, jammies, cute onesies with funny sayings, fun little colorful toys.

But as an actual mom, I came to appreciate the wisdom of more practical gifts: electronic thermometer (Braun makes an awesome one!), cheapie $5 thermometers (more accurate with the under-one-year set, especially a rectal thermometer), Infant Tylenol, Infant Motrin. When you need that stuff, you need it YESTERDAY!

And I didn't know at first that you can use the Tylenol and Motrin at the same time! Babies' temps climb very high rapidly, and it's scary. And then baby won't eat or sleep, will be sluggish and whiny. Motrin works better to drop the fever quickly, and you can also use Tylenol at the same time to help keep the temp down while the Motrin is wearing off (and before you can give another dose of it.) So I'd give Motrin, then a few hours later give Tylenol. It makes a world of difference, really!

And Tylenol is just a good all-around thing to have, to help with teething, use before getting shots (and babies get TONS of shots!) or other aches and pains. I don't think I ever used it on a plane, but because it makes some kids drowsy, I know some people use it to calm a crying baby on a flight.

Could also get a boo-boo buddy, basically an ice pack for kids. I've seen ones shaped like bears, cute! Here's a picture of a Nemo one on this page:

Hello!!! We have a new across the hall neighbor... He seems nice! He all introduced himself to me and everything! Yes, that is odd in our neighborhood. Or it could have just been the fact that I am wearing a more cleavage bra, and a low cut shirt.


I am having issues. It seems as though I cant diet and quit smoking at the same time. If I am not smoking, I want to EAT! But if I am not eating... I want to smoke. Its a vicious cycle. I am going to choose ONE, and go after the second one in a few weeks.

Exhausting. But apparently good stuff was accomplished. He can't really talk about it, so that's basically what I know.

Yes, he's pretty wiped out. We're all looking forward to a good night's sleep!

No, he's not getting tomorrow off. He was hoping to at least work from home, but apparently there are MUST ATTEND IN PERSON meetings that he's been asked to attend, so he'll go into the office.

AWESOME!!!! That is absolutely fantastic!!!!!! I hope he doesnt revert back now that he is home. but probably not! Im so excited for you!! Now he just has to sleep in his own bed, and he is ALL big boy!!!

I don't think DH could attend a 'gab fest' like meeting. He just doesn't have the patience, so he either asks, "Is my part in this meeting done?" or he'll suggest the gabby parties take their issue offline so the purpose of the meeting can continue. He does NOT suffer fools... at all!

I"m not sure if he'd sit through a gabby kind of meeting like this with executives though. He might be a bit less inclined to speak out like that.

I dont know. I pay a monthly fee, so I dont get charged per movie. (way cheaper that way.. if you ask me) Ill just wait and see if I get it tomorrow. We have never had them send an e-mail before about receiving a movie. Usually the turn around is ridiculously fast. I had 3 movies I mailed in on Tuesday... The received them on wed. and I got my new ones today. Well... All except one.
