I just saw this post as I was reading back through. So only 10 years out of date! :lmao: :thumbsup2 cool.

And I lived at Pleasure Island during my college days. All of the College Program kids (CP's) and younger Cast members would jet over there after we got out of work at 11pm. It was SO much fun. The majority of people there were cast members (because we got in free on certain nights) or tourists that were with couples so it was fun to go and dance with girlfriends and not get hit on every 5 seconds. It wasnt a meat market at all and we had a blast. I have a cute pic of me at PI. I'll try to get it on the computer tonight
Sounds like it was alot of fun!!!

I wonder if the crowd has changed, and it's just not the same?

And would love to see a picture! :woohoo:

Well ladies it's been fun.

I need my shower and bed.

Night!

So I'm really getting hooked on these "Manly" reality shows. I never really cared for reality shows, but I really like Deadliest Catch and Axe Men. Apparently I've discovered a previously unknown passion for watching unshaven men doing physical labor!:thumbsup2

:rotfl2: Ok they are old photos scanned in quickly so I didnt fix them but here I am 2nd from the left in a "cage" at 8 Trax! I was 19. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I was so cool!:thumbsup2 :cool2:

And here I was getting more confetti dumped on me by coworkers (sorry if you are on the DIS now boys!) I loved the confetti and since I couldnt drink I just was high on life and confetti falling in the streets. :lmao:

Sam, I loooooove Deadliest Catch! And all the men there are such characters! It's funny, I wasn't sure I liked some of them in the beginning (Phil had such a foul mouth, Sig seemed really stiff and inconsiderate of his crew), but as you get to see other sides to their personality, I really have a fondness for all of them. I love seeing Phil with his sons, you can just see the love they have for each other. That's unusual for men to express, and they do it often, which I love. And Sig is very good at what he does and earns his crew top money, and it's clear they appreciate it even though it's long hours of hard work. :thumbsup2

So now we know the TRUE story about where Shawna worked! That story about the gift shop at Epcot was just a cover, she was really a Cage Girl at Pleasure Island!:lmao:

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes I guess the club was called "The Cage" before and they changed it to 8 Trax and left the cages up. They used to have women paid to dance in there but once the change happened anyone could jump in. There was usually a line for the cage! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

What is Axe Men?

And did you see last week's Deadliest Catch? Phil's ship got hit hard by a huge wave and knocked everyone over out of their bunks. Phil apparently slammed into something with his ribs when he fell, and so he was having his older boy tape up his ribs. But then he started coughing up blood!

He called the nearest hospital and spoke to someone. They said he needed to get in as quickly as possible, and he says, "Lady, I'm in the middle of the Bering Sea!" :rotfl:

Then he says after the call... "I'm gonna have to call around at another hospital and see what they say, because I didn't like what she said." Oh my lord, is that like a man, or what??? Like anybody else is gonna say, "Just take two aspirin and it should be all better in the morning..." :headache:

Yeah, I didn't like Sig at first, but he's starting to grow on me. DH & I both said that if we could pick any of the boats to work on, we both chose Time Bandit. Johathan just seemed like he was more fun to work with than the others. They really are all hard workers and the more you watch it the more you respect what they are doing. I was actually crying the other day when Phil(?) (sorry, I'm horrible at their names) went to the hospital, I thought maybe he had lung cancer!

Ohhhh. I thought you were just so wild they had to keep you in a cage. :rotfl2:

Axe Men is on A&E and it's the loggers from Astoria, Vernonia, Scappoose area.

Have you seen the show after Phil gets to the hospital in Anchorage? I don't want to spoil it if you haven't seen it. After I seen him spitting up blood I just had to stay up late and watch the next episode to see what happened.

I know, I'm really worried. Lung cancer was my first thought, too, because he smokes like a chimney! Coughing up blood was a symptom of "consumtion" way back when. Scary stuff! Then when I saw the show and he was convinced it was a broken rib that punctured a lung, I was somewhat relieved. But then when the xrays showed that his ribs were fine, WTH??? He feels like he's got broken ribs, he's having trouble breathing in, and he's coughing up blood...

The next episode shows here on Tuesday, and I HAVE TO KNOW what it is!!!

The little clip they showed, he called his oldest boy and told him he may not make it back on the boat the rest of the trip. :(

On a lighter note, a local newspaper reporter met Jonathan Hillstrand at a party he hosted (I think it was related to the show, she said just about every appetizer had crab in it.) :lmao:

I'll see if I can find the article online... BRB!
